10 Lessons We’ve Learned From Oprah

September 20th, 2010 - By Erica Renee

Surround Yourself With Talented People and Give Them Plenty of Support – Oprah’s people are curiously semi-famous because she publicly acknowledges their talent and they in return give dedicated support to her and the brand. Nonprofits often are reluctant to acknowledge their professional talent and their successes because they are concerned such actions might steal some of the spotlight from their major donors. Take a lesson from Oprah and recognize those stars on your staff team who keep your brand strong.

Well I really enjoyed studying it. This information provided by you is very helpful for good planning.

Deelee so Oprah donating $250,000,000 to education, feeding people, over the course of her career has not been contributing to the needy? Wasn't it Oprah who after Hurricane Katrina wrote out the biggest celebrity donation of $10,000,000 from her personal account, and then went on to use her Angel's Network to build homes there? Some of you guys are just so hateful you can never give credit where it's due.

Oprah you will be missed very much. You have taught that it is joy to give and have a kind heart. One of my wishes was to be on your show. Almost made it I was on stand by. Stay close to God and much luck in whatever you do.

Developing and maintaining the academic study skills of youth from their elementary school years and not your naming a "Woman Warrior" is the part of the solution that deserves your address.

Being able to expand the learning experience for all youth will allow the true power of change to be expressed and will have you present many proud and active parents who have responsibly loved and raised their children rather than your choosing another bureaucrat that you dare introduce to your audience as being a “Woman Warrior”!

    Oprah,

Our mission, should we decide to accept it, will be to prove that we are able to provide tutorial workshops for the parents of all public school students in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland and the District of Columbia. The objective of these workshops will be to stimulate a similar project at every major American city that will develop the tutorial skills of all parents (especially elem. schools) and thus have a reliable means to measurably expand the studying skills and the academic output of their children.

Being able to expand the learning experience for all youth will allow the true power of change to be expressed and will have you present many proud and active parents who have responsibly loved and raised their children rather than your choosing another bureaucrat that you dare introduce to your audience as being a "Woman Warrior"!

I don't believe that I actually learned anything from "O". I was REMINDED several times of certain situations due to her subject matter. I was entertained on several occasions by her guests. I enjoyed her show. However, I don't believe Oprah's agenda was to give aid to the needy in the United States. She did not do much to share her wealth and influence with the needy people of her race.
