Rohan’s Not Having It With Wyclef: “He Knew From Jump That Was My Son”

While everyone has been throwing shade at Wyclef over his new memoir “Purpose” and wondering how Lauryn Hill and her son Zion will react to Clef’s allegation that he initially thought he was the Zions father, no one has even considered how Rohan, Zion’s actual father, might feel about all this. Well, leave it to TMZ to get the exclusive from the son of reggae legend Bob Marley who essentially says Wyclef is on one.

“[He] knew from jump that was my son from the day [Lauryn] was pregnant,” Rohan told the site.

Though he may need to take off the rose colored glasses on this point, Rohan doesn’t even think Lauryn and Wyclef were messing around at the same time that he was involved with the “miseducated” singer. From his view:

“They were definitely not messing around, or he would never have given me the okay.”

That would be kind of messed up for Wyclef to tell Rohan to date Lauryn if he was still sleeping with her, but considering Wyclef was cheating on his wife at the same time, we can’t expect too much from him. As far as Rohan is concerned,  Wyclef is ”just saying false things to get book headlines.” Wyclef on the other hand is sticking to his story, telling TMZ:

“There is no way that I would have shown up in the hospital in that circumstance to wait for a baby to be born if it was not mine. The idea of a memoir is to tell the truth. I know that often the truth hurts, but a lie hurts even more.”

Um, so does that mean Rohan wasn’t at the hospital when Zion was born? This whole situation is getting a little too twisted.

    I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, wyclef has been telling this story for at least 8 years and not one detail has changed. This doesn’t have to do with trying to get book sales..people who have followed this bunch over the years were already privy. She played the both of them basically, while they were playing their own games with their respective wives..#Life

      Let’s say he’s telling the truth she was playing them both so what he got played! When people are hurt by people they love and still have feeling for they will do anything to hurt you back. Lauryn moved on and was very successful outside of the Fugees! He’s bitter and angry not only about being played by her, but more to me about her success after the group and her unwilliness to reunite with the Fugees. Writing this book is his failed attemp to hurt her. He’s been an attention ‘_HORE with this and he’s trying to make himself look like a victim.

      Her personal life doesn’t negate the fact that Lauryn is one of the greatest artists of her generation. This whole situation was a punk move by Wyclef in the first place. He deserves all the shade he’s getting.

        Agreed, look at Eryakah Badu she has at least 2 baby daddies. But she is an amazing artist. Let people live their life how they see fit as long a they are hurting others in the process. It should be all good.

        You are right you can’t take that away from Lauryn she made history with the Fugees and after. We have all made mistakes and her music speaks for itself!!!!

        Lauryn had her son in 1997 so that would make him 15. You’re probably thinking about her daughter she had a year later.

          This is true. It amazes me how some people can stay relevant without hardly making any moves in the business. Maybe this is what Lauryn was trying to get away from, the beast of the business. Her album showed a wealth of talent for such a young person, but maybe the insiders were trying to steal her soul, dim her light of wisdom, knowledge, and respect for artistry…… IDK
