Monica and C-Murder

The troubled rapper and little brother of Master P dated Georgia Peach, Monica, back in the early ’90s as her career was taking off. To be specific, she was 16 and he was 26 around the time, so yeah, it wasn’t a relationship accepted by her parents (“Mom. Dad. This is my 26-year-old boyfriend, C-Murder.”). There was also speculation that they dated while he was married, which rapper Mia X shut down in a letter to blogger, Sandra Rose. Monica would later go on to say, to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to be specific, that it was her first real relationship, and though he was older, she learned a lot from C-Murder (better known as Corey Miller):  “My first real relationship was with C and that was one hell of a ride. He and I both believed in a lot of the same things, but those rebellious stages sometimes caused conflict between the two of us. In the same breath, I think it was good that he was so much older than me because I learned full responsibility through that situation. That’s when I really, really, really learned how to maintain a household. How to pay bills on time. How to just take care of things … And he and my mom became so close; because she was definitely afraid of somebody taking advantage of me.”
