    “Adoption as a whole is a great opportunity for everyone involved”. Not true. As an adoptee I can tell you that adoption is about loss. A child loses a mother and a mother loses her child. That loss is felt for the rest of their lives. Adoption should be a last resort if no one else in the family can take care of the child.

    I thought Patti Labelle had three sons total her birth son Zuri and 2 from her sister that died of cancer….I’m confused

    I didn’t know Patti LaBelle had five children. I thought she only had one son Zuri. She always talked about him and not the others.

    I think this is a wonderful way to promote black adoption. Maybe this will help inspire more of us to adopt our own rather than complain when the likes of Brad and Angelina get them all.
