Disturbing: Man Charged With Attempted Murder For Infecting 15-year-Old Boy With HIV

There are more sick people in the world than I care to think about and Keith Sumlin is definitely one of them. The 30-year-old Pembrook Pines, FL, man has just been charged with attempted second-degree murder, criminal transmission of the AIDS virus, and five other charges involving sex with a minor after he infected a 15-year-old boy with HIV. According to the Miami Herald:

Keith “Keyoko” Sumlin was arrested Wednesday after the boy told his mother the two had sex and that he later heard the older man was HIV positive, according to a police report.

The mother took her son to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood for an HIV test. The preliminary result was positive, according to the report.

Before they had sex, Sumlin said he was 21 and asked the boy, “Are you really 18 years old?” according to the police report.

From the report: “The def asked ‘Are you really 18 years old,’ and the victim replied ‘no.’ The def then asked, ‘Are you 17,’ at which point the victim replied, ‘Younger.’”

The teen later told a friend that he had met Sumlin via a mobile phone app and that he had invited the man to his home in Pembroke Pines, where they had sex without condoms.

The friend told the boy that Sumlin was HIV positive and “has a secret Facebook page wherein he posts videos of himself engaging in anal sex with males that appear to be under the age of 18,” according to the police report.

Pembroke Pines police detective Michael Silver wrote in his report that during the investigation he viewed a video of Sumlin posted on a social networking website.

“I f—ed this little boy, videotaped it and added it to the online group,” Sumlin said in the video, according to the police report. “And I don’t use condoms when I have sex and you call me sick, don’t worry about me, worry about who gave it to them.”

Let’s all say a silent prayer of thanks that this creeper is in custody. Right now Keith is being held on a $280,000 bond but I’m pretty sure he should never expect to see the light of day outside prison bars again.

    Madame Noire – please correct. People cannot spread AIDS. AIDS is not the virus. HIV is the virus which is transmittable. As a healthcare worker, it really irritates me to see this.

      That is exactly what I was thinking!!! Why the hell isn’t this sick puppy being charged with child pornography AND rape?! I hope the victim(or better yet survivor) gets the help he will need.

      They may need to identify and authenticate the age of the other person in the video to charge him with child pornography. Who knows, maybe it will be added on later.

      The second degree murder, I feel should be amended to first degree. That child is going to eventual die from complications caused by HIV/AIDS.

      The boy’s family should also sue him for damages. That boy is never going to be the same, and the kind of medical bills this illness incurs…..one night of “freedom” cost him his whole life…

    And again… Wheretf are the parents????? I swear these kids today! Is it that hard to tell somebody either use a condom or no? At 15 he knew better. And how did his friend know about this man? This is getting ridiculous. I pray this new generation gets some type of sense soon. Lord help us all.

    “Don’t worry about me, worry about who gave it to me?” I wonder who gave it to him? It’s like he was trying to put something out there/someone on blast without naming names. Who knows it could be someone prominent/popular or someone related to him. He should of just said it.

    That is SICKANDWRONG!!! This is why people need to wear condoms, can’t just let anyone hit it raw, you can’t tell if someone infected just by looking at them and these people will lie about their status or don’t tell you at all. Plus this is is why I’m against meeting people online. And this sick b@stard deserves life!

        It’s not about sympathy, she’s asking a legit question. Just like a younger girl who had sex with an older man willingly, my first reaction is what was she doing there and why is she going to meet this guy in the first place. Yeah, the abuser was wrong for what he did but raging hormones is a pathetic excuse for such behavior especially for these young teenagers.

    SPEECHLESS! Words can’t express the disgust. I also don’t understand the anger/vengeful nature of people who become infected with HIV/AIDS & why they wish to spread it around intentionally. I think it should be an attempted first degree murder charge for those who choose to be that crazy.

      i dnt know why he isnt being charged with first degree, if you intentionally plan to infect someone with a fatal disease, that means you had intent and thats literally the difference between 1st and 2nd degree murder. this poor child has to go on taking God knows how many meds a day just because he had to go sleep with this fool, i wish he had spoke to moor people before he went ahead and did this, i get he just trying to explore his sexuality but this could of been done in a more safe way smh pray for the babies
