In another of the many exclusives Evelyn is giving on her divorce from Chad Johnson, the reality TV star had a sit-down with PEOPLE for two pages worth of a chat on the drama that’s come to characterize her existence. Getting a little deeper than the Nightline interview, Evelyn talked about why she’s leaving Chad and what she plans to do now. Here are some snippets from the feature we caught on The Jasmine Brand.

Why she was mad at the condom receipt

“I’m not naïve. I didn’t think he was going to be perfect, but three weeks after we got married? I feel like he wasn’t even trying.”

Sorry, I just have to interject here. This clearly suggests Chad hadn’t tackled his cheating desires before walking down the aisle (probably because he wasn’t asked to) so why would you even marry someone who you knew had likely been creeping right up until the night before the wedding? Would it have been better if the receipt came three months later?

Alright back to our regularly scheduled program.

What happened the night of the altercation

He flew into a rage, grabbed her face, and head-butted her in the face…Then she went to the hospital for five or six stiches.

“I had blood in my eyes. I was tasting it. I remember realizing, oh my God, the news is going to get out. I was so humiliated.”

Chad’s dark side

“I always knew [to back down] when he got that look in his eye. It was scary.”

Lozada also alludes to past “situations” but won’t elaborate out of respect for Johnson’s four young children.

Whether she was violent with him

“I never once lifted a finger to Chad; not that day, not prior. I never attempted to do anything to him.”

How she feels about Chad now

“I’ll always have love for him…Chad is not a bad person, but he made a bad choice.”

Evelyn’s feature is in the current issue of PEOPLE which hit newsstands today. What do you think about her interview?

it is weird that when she posed for other magazines she always showed too much skin especially for a ge but not for people to feel sorry for her she did the magazine shoot covered up. those attention seekers always do that when they want people to believe they are the victim.smh

chile please they need to work it out and move somewhere far away so that I won’t have to read about this stupid he headbutted me stuff…..I don’t feel sorry for her AT ALL and I’m against domestic violence

  • Say What?

It’s so ironic, I mean she knew when to back down, but ole girl doesn’t know when to sit down!

How is this any different than the violence you promoted on BBW? No one deserves to get beat, maybe this experience will give you some much needed clarity the next time you decide you want to put your hands on someone.

Leaving my broken marriage, you never were married, the definition of
marriage is two people coming together to become one , you never intended to
become one. and Knowing when to back down when a certain look come on his/her
face is call knowing your mate nothing new nothing bad and nothing wrong with
backing down when that look come on your mate, parents, friends, co-workers or
boss face because others back down when that certain look come on your face it’s
a sign of wisdom and maturity!

Sad that she got attacked, but geez enough already! The more and more she talks about the same thing, the less and less I care. Just divorce Chad and move on!

women like her a full of crap. why??? if the guy punched and everyone knew then please drop it and don’t tell us how you will always love them. she needs to sit down in a corner.

Ok seriously- nobody deserves to be a victim of domestic violence. However, how long is Evelyn gonna ride this “domestic violence” train? It looks to me like she’s using this incident to remain relevant. She wants sympathy from the public but where was her sympathy when she was throwing bottles at people? Hate that she’s going thru this but she still needs to have several seats.

You know, I understand there is a recession happening and it is slow right now but, these companies like ABC, other media outlets such as People, must be hard up. I don’t know why in the world they want to waste time and energy in interviewing somebody who has a history of having a foul mouth and fighting. The readers below are exactly correct. She is going to milk this cow until she see blood coming out and will continue to do, then and more than likely she is getting paid a great deal of money to do this. I have to agree, I bet Sister 2 sister Jamie Foster Brown (I think that is her name) is waiting in line as well to do an interview with her. I will be done if Jet, Ebony, or even Essence attempt to even waste time to do a story on her because she is suppose to to be popular right now. I don’t believe anyone, man or woman should be subjected to hitting or domestic violence, I still believe she play a part in provoking him or attacking him in some way since she has a tendency of fighting. To me her story has missing pieces and still does not add up. Based on pictures, that I have seen on MadameNoire and other media, she just does not act like a victim of domestic violence, she is mighty quick running to tell her story. The media outlet, the public, advocates of domestic violence may have emphathy for her, I am sorry, I don’t buy her side of the story for one second.

Because they [the liberal media] is always looking for a story on a bad black man so she made up one and gave it to them.

  • WhoMe

Look at that sinister smile of hers. She is laughing all the way to the bank.
