True Life: This is How He Got Me to Go Out With Him

As most of us know, we can be very particular when it comes to the men we’ll eventually date. You don’t just want to say yes to any old body. With that in mind, you have to be careful you give your number to and who you spend your time with. In other words, the men have to come correct. So we asked our Facebook followers, which outlandish (but non threatening ways) have men persuaded them to go out with them. Check out the answers below and if you have an outlandish story, be sure to share it below in the comment’s section.

Alicia: When I was in the 8th grade a guy that was in the 11th grade made a business card with all his info on it and had one of his family members give it to me at school with a message on the back that said “a bunch of N*ggz waiting on you to get to high school, so I wanted to have first dibs” BAHAHA

Eboneika: I had a guy start to lip-sync R-Kelly’s “Ignition” remix in the middle of a club & lead me onto the dance floor! It was a smooth move that got him my number!

Sand: Chased me home….lol but it was amusing/non-threatening tho. Still said no (but i gave him my email to add me so that we can chat online. A couple of years later, he asked again, and i said yes).

Denise: Finalized his divorce. FEDX the papers to me with a note, “Can we go out now?”. ( yes ladies, I got it LIKE THAT, lolol. Eventually married him.

New in town, I went to a funeral with my mother. I was approached after the funeral by one of the pall-bearers. After telling him how tacky he was for attempting to pick me up at a funeral, I suggested we at least go outside the church as not to offend the greiving family. After tripping off the fact that he asked me for a good-bye kiss (when he had just met me) and getting shot down, he showed me around the community and assisted me in getting a job. We had our first date a month later. We have been together for almost 11 years. So glad I took the chance on the unorthodox approach.

I had to make the first move with all the guys I used to like, seriously they were LOSERS for not making the first move! I think I live in a world where girls have to make the first move, since guys are jerk-offs. They have weak egos and feel intimidated with rejection when they want to ask a female out on a date. Seriously, I had to wear the “male pants” to get something going with the guys I used to like. My last experience with a jerk-off didn’t end well, hint, hint, hint…he thought I lied about my height and it made him feel uncomfortable. Let’s just say he was a short bastard who had male insecurities, because I know my height and I wasn’t going to feel embarrass about my height because he did. Anyways…all I’m trying to say is chivalry doesn’t exist anymore. Independent females don’t have anytime to waste on a guy’s silly game, we need to make the first move, in order to know whether or not he’s Mr. Right, Mr. Right Now or Mr. Leave Me the Hell Alone!!!!

Who the hell are these chicks? An 11th grader getting at a 8th grader? A chick who thinks she’s fly because she got to go out with a divorced guy? A guy who stalked her? GTFOH!
How about he sent flowers to my job? How about he fixed my flat? Come on.

i was leaving church, thinking about how amazing the sermon was. then the dude i’ve been secretly crushing on came up behind me singing the chorus to NSYNC’s “God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You”. my heart melted, and we’ve been together ever since!!

….okay, maybe i wish this really happened, but a girl can dream right?!?!?!?!

I have never gone out with a guy who had to persuade me to do so.

The last guy I really liked (secretly loved) tried to persuade me to stay with him. I kind of broke things off but was not really over him. I had to take care of some business. Well, he comes over and sits in my backyard. As he is persuading me he is getting biten up by mosquitoes. He was such a good guy just met at the wrong time. I know it is corny but it was so sweet.
