It’s a rare celebrity nowadays that can rest in peace.

Just three days after actor Michael Clarke Duncan passed away, a woman has come forward claiming she is the Academy Award nominee’s secret daughter.

His family isn’t buying it though.

According to RadarOnline.com, the 32-year-old woman’s name is Marqay Ambrose and she says she hasn’t talked to her 54-year-old father in at least eleven years and knows he has never said anything publicly about having a daughter. “The only thing that really bothers me about him passing,” she told Chicago’s WFLD-TV, “is that we didn’t fix it. That’s the only thing that I hate. I hate it, but it doesn’t bother me that I’m not mentioned.

Michael’s family believes this woman is only trying to extort his estate for financial gain, saying she told them she wants “what’s mine.”

Sources close to Duncan told RadarOnline.com that the family doesn’t know this woman and are questioning why she came forward after he died.

“Michael did date Marqay’s mother, but he believed he was not her father,” a source close to the late actor told RadarOnline.com. “He was in the hospital for 53 days, and she never once reached out or tried to talk to him then. It was the DAY he died that she started calling his mother saying ‘I want what’s mine’ and trying to get money from her.”

The source said Michael’s relatives are shocked that this woman is making these claims after his death.

“She seems very opportunistic to be making the calls now, especially to his 93-year-old mother on the day her son died. Why wouldn’t she have tried to visit him after he had his heart attack? Why didn’t she try and reach out to him while he was alive? It all seems like she just wants money and didn’t ever care about having a relationship with him.”

Radar reached out to Marqay Ambrose who denied trying to extort money from the family.

Unfortunately, you can’t put a secret love child past anybody these days, but the timing of this admission is suspect. On one hand, the family saying they didn’t know about her doesn’t mean she isn’t his daughter. On the other hand, the fact that she is coming forward now as opposed to when he almost died back in July is odd. Where is her mother? Maybe she is the one who told her daughter that Michael is her father. There are ways to prove paternity even after the alleged father is deceased — especially considering he isn’t in the ground yet.  If Marquay is in fact the actor’s daughter then she stands to inherit at least some of his reported $18 million dollar net worth.

Michael is survived by his mother Jean, his sister Judith, and his fiancee, actress Omarosa Manigault who says she is devastated by his death and that he was love of her life. The family is holding a funeral service for him on Sunday.

What do you think of this story? Do you think she is just trying to get money? Do you think the mom and sister are only pretending not to know that’s his daughter?

*clears throat* She NEVER asked them for a dime. Nor has she talked to his family since she was a child. Her mom passed away a few years ago. RadarOnline is telling a damn lie. I wish they just leave her alone!!! You people commenting a judgmental as hell! You believe anything you read. This woman is apart of my family and for you all to defame her like this is ridiculous!

okay let’s be real, if she knew for a fact that Michael was her father then she would have sued for back child support when she turned 18, and damn sure before he died. Hell they would have broke her off real nicely even if she jus got a precentage of his estate. I mean hello there are many way to get what you feel like your owed. Me personally i feel like a parent really doesn’t owe a kid anything, jus like a kid don’t owe a parent anything really. IDK, talk about me all you want, but hey it’s my opinion. Yes it is morally right to do this and that for them because you did bring them into this world, but honestly it’s personally decision. And if you comment back please keep the trash talk to yourself, we can have an agree to disagreement without all out the name calling and berating eachother.

i have to disagree with you. a parent owes their child everything however this is a woman, not a child.

I completely understand that she is not a child I was jus saying that she could have gotten “what’s her” when she turned 18, and he was still alive. Not wait till your 32 and your father has jus died from a heart attack. And I’m curious about your first statement, I’m not being funny. But when people state their thoughts sometimes I like to dig a little deeper to see why do you feel that way. Plus I’m a psychology geek, I love getting in people’s head. so pleae explain alittle further….if you don’t mind.

i wasnt negating anything regarding the womans age.. i was negating your belief that a parent doesnt owe anything to their child. children dont ask to be born and if everyone took up the stance of ‘not owing their kids squat’ we’d be in a prerty horrible place as a society. hell, were halfway there because of that belief. if one has nothing to offer a child other than a peace sign it seems like all parties wouldve been better off not making that child. especislly the innocent child. i mean there are simple, practical ways to.. control birth.
