This summer Steve Harvey may have hung up the stand-up mic, but he’s exchanging it for another one tomorrow. It seems like we’ve been talking about Steve’s upcoming venture for a while now, but the big day is finally here (almost) because on September 4 the funny man will debut his new daytime talk show, self-titled “Steve Harvey.”

According to a press release on Shadow and Act:

Each weekday, comedian, radio show host and best-selling author Steve Harvey will offer his insightfully funny, common sense advice to those seeking solutions to their most personal relationship problems. Husbands and wives, moms and dads, boyfriends and girlfriends and more will open up as Harvey shares his wit and wisdom on the issues they face. Every hour features multiple topics such as marriage, dating, parenting, workplace issues, personal finance, friendship dilemmas and the daily dramas we face throughout our lives, all with Harvey’s unique comedic spin.

The release also has details on the debut show:

On premiere day, Tuesday, September 4, Steve kicks things off by answering the studio audience’s burning questions with his funny, frank answers in “Ask Steve.” Next, it’s Steve to the rescue when he helps the person behind the national headlines dubbed “The Worst Dater In America!” Then, Steve hears from a mom with a habit of sharing way too much information about her kids all over the web in a new trend called “over-sharenting.” Plus, former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky reveals the best dating destinations from one side of the country to the other.

Steve’s never had a problem making people laugh, the issue as of late has been getting people to take him — and his relationship advice — seriously. Only time will tell how America reacts. Check out a couple of preview clips of what’s to come this season.

Steve Harvey is sexist, doesn’t tolerate people who aren’t religious, chauvinistic and a bunch of other non-desirable things. I don’t imagine the show will be on for many seasons.

I can’t do Steve Harvey. I’m still not understanding why he’s so popular.

  • Native Noir

Don’t think I’ll be watching his show…. but off topic, RIP to his friend Michael Clarke Duncan. My prayers are with his family and friends. This has to be extremely hard for Omarossa.

  • Treacle234

Nah, I wont be watching, I’ll be working

Steve Harvey is bigger charlatan than the preacher David Alan Grier played on Martin! Playing on the fears of unmarried insecure women everywhere, passing out life/ love advice you could get from your grandmother for free. His whole life is a fraud which makes his supporters look even more foolish! LOL Needless to say I won’t be watching this ugly fraudulent man.

Oops, wrong person, didn’t mean to reply to myself

    • Native Noir

YES! The best things about that movie were Morris Chestnut and the fact that they kept playing John Legend’s Tonight…I would say & Michael Ealy but I just watched For Colored Girls last night so, I need a moment.

  • Chanda

I think I’ll give a chance. Can’t be any worse than the “wives” shows or who’s the next Ameican Idol judge. I’ll also be checking for the new Ricki Lake show and Judge Mathis.

i’m waiting to see the new Ricki Lake. I watched her the first time she was on, and i liked it.

      • Chanda

For some reason I don’t think the new Ricki Lake show will be as ghetto as it was the last time around even though some of the “ghetto” shows weren’t too bad either.

  • Nia

Hi guys! Thanks for the positive feedback : ) We have worked really hard for this premiere. Looking forward to seeing you all at the launch tomorrow!

  • enoughsaid99

    Steve is too much!

  • Negress

Hell yeah I’m watching, he’s funny so y not!

  • KJ23

Initially I didn’t think I would watch it. I just don’t really do Daytime talk shows, but my daughter loves Steve Harvey’s voice, and she will stop whatever she’s doing to listen to him (even though she can’t talk herself). So to make her happy, I’ll probably Tivo it for her.
