Rumor Has It Nicci Gilbert May Go From An R&B Diva To An Unemployed One If She Can’t Fix Her ‘Tude

Apparently there’s a limit on just how much of a diva one can be to maintain a spot on TV One’s new hit reality show, “R&B Divas,” and according to RadarOnline, Nicci Gilbert has just about reached her max.

The former Brownstone singer stars on the show alongside Faith Evans, Keke Wyatt, Monifah Carter, and Syleena Johnson and though she’s appeared to be sensible from the first two episodes, word is she’s something of a mess off-camera. That’s why she may be getting a pink slip if and when the show returns for a second season. A source told RadarOnline:

“Despite doing interviews with her whole message of positivity, Nicci was a terror to work with on the show. Publicly, she says she wanted this show to be the anti- Housewives, but privately her actions made her a fit for Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club.”

That’s pretty harsh. I honestly would have expected that type of behavior from Syleena just because of the way she comes off on camera, but Nicci was ready to rip that seamstress a new one when she didn’t show up for her fashion show on time on the last episode. Maybe that’s her real persona.

Rumor has it producers already have a replacement in mind too, singer Kelly Price, and they’ve already met to discuss the possibility. While this all sounds like a done deal, there is the issue of Nicci being one of the co-executive producers of the show. The anonymous source says that’s not as big of a deal as it may seem though, saying producers will  ”just pay her a producer credit and cancel her talent contract.”

She better get it together quick — if it’s not already too late.

    I watched the show one time and I couldn’t finish it…..all them broads except for Monifah are ghetto and tacky as hell!!!! Monifah is the only one who in my opinion keeps it real….as for the rest one word. RATCHET!!!!

    Nicci is REAL and attitude makes “the diva.” She had every right to go in on that seamstress being that she was what, 3 HOURS LATE and showed up just as the models were already prepared & ready to hit the runway!!! Like who does that?!!….and why the heck would she schedule another show on that same day and then tell Nicci that she would make it in time?? That woman had it coming to her, not to mention that she was paid & this was her FIRST show!!!

    You put the word “diva” in a show and expect the stars not to act like such? That makes sense! But I agree with the others…it’s Keke that needs to be replaced. Her self-esteem issues are already too much for me to bear and it’s only episode 2. If she did this show so people could stop referring to her as crazy–she failed–I didn’t really know anything about her before this show. Now I think she’s batsh*t crazy!

    NIcci does have a tude but so dos, syleena, and miss keke with her crazy self. Like what do they expect, they called the show r&b DIVAs for a reason.

    I have been watching this show and Nicci does seem to have an attitude problem but she is still tolerable thus far. Now that character known as KeKe Wyatt is another story. She is very very talented but also extremely insecure and clingy and if she doesn’t deal with the baggage left from her previous marriage she will find herself in divorce court again, so if they are going to replace someone it should be Keke so she can get the obvious counseling she needs.
