*Update* Evelyn’s Camp Responds To Reports She’s Giving Exclusive Interview On “Oprah’s Next Chapter”

As soon as I heard about Chad and Evelyn’s talk show being cancelled after their altercation, I foresaw an Oprah special in the works. Evelyn is already set to appear on Iyanla Vanzant’s show “Fix My Life” on OWN and I figured if she managed to get her foot in the door with that, it would only be a matter of time before Oprah was trying to figure out this basketball wife/separated football wife’s “Next Chapter.” Rolling Out reported earlier today that my theory was correct, but Evelyn Lozada’s camp has since responded saying their story is false.

According to Rolling Out:

Evelyn Lozada is going to spill it all on Oprah’s “Next Chapter” show, a major media personality reported on Aug. 21.

Lozada, who filed for divorce from Chad Johnson after he head-butted her, causing a gash that needed stitches to be closed, will break her self-imposed moratorium from interviews, public appearances and speaking engagements when she becomes the next big subject on Oprah’s OWN network, Kevin Frazier stated on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show.” Frazier is currently the co-host on “The Insider” entertainment news program.

Frasier told Joyner that Lozada has intentionally lowered her profile, including remaining silent on social media outlets such as Twitter, in anticipation for the tremendous exposure she is sure to receive.

Though that story didn’t seem far fetched, Evelyn’s rep says Rolling Out misreported Kevin Frazier’s words from the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” and their entire story is false. I guess we can look at this as good news?

WHO CARES ABOUT EVELYN!? Poor oprah..she’s better then this smh, disappointed.

  • Cha

Oprah cannot be that desperate for ratings..I agree with TeahMonae! I’m sorry, I cannot entertain that!

  • Ann

Brande, Lozada was never a basketball wife. She has the unmitigated gaul to write a book on basketball wives when she was not one? I don’t know why anybody want to book this individual who has a tendancy to fight and have a foul mouth. I tell you, it look like to me this is what all this comes down to. Chad lost his job and his endorsement and yet this idiot with a foul mouth get endorsements deals, speaking engagements, and appearances. These businesses large and small are so desperate to get revenue money in their business and they will stoop to get people like Evelyn. In my personal opinion, This is crazy for somebody who fights and has a foul mouth to get booked. The sad part about it is that you have people to support and buys this stuff from these individuals. I still say that she provoked Chad and attack him and fought him and now she is the poster child of abuse. Please. Evelyn. I think you really need to sit down and get some therapy. You saying that Chad need help, well NEWSFLASH, you need help as well. I still don’t have any emphathy for somebody who has a foul mouth and likes to brawl. I think she is reaping what she sow.

Oprah will talk to a middle-aged, wine bottle throwing drunk; but not the talented Lauryn Hill? Please tell me someone is pulling this out of their wazoo.

    • Yvette

Oprah wants to interview Lauryn Hill but Lauryn declined.

      • redfingerpaint

Well, that shows I didn’t do my homework. (WHOOPS!)

  • DoinMe

I know that OWN is struggling, but please Oprah,!I hope she doesn’t start cheapening her brand with Jerry Springer-like guest, such as Evelyn, for ratings. Basketball Wives is all the platform she needs and that’s too much.

  • gracie

Who cares about this viscious angry woman, hey Oprah please stay away from her before she poisons you with her venom.

  • Shuga_B

Oprah really pulling at straws for ratings…..oh well at least make sure Iyanla is present during this one, it’ll make that much more interesting..

  • Is It 5:00 Yet?

Evelyn and Oprah can go sit in a corner.

  • SocialButterFly

I dont blame Lady O for wanting this woman on her show (not that i agree with this move, but what can i do) but I think she is featuring people that are on top of popular pop culture news. The more these folks bring out anger, dislike/like to the masses, the bigger the appeal, the bigger the reactions. So it only makes sense for Oprah to jump on them while they still hot! These folks are ratings boosters in their individual shows, which means people are watching & talking!!

  • realadulttalk

Can someone call Oprah?? I need to slap her for feeding into this madness.

  • dee

I really have no reaction to any of the news regarding the pending media blitz. I expected some sort of media tour after this whole thing. However I am a bit surprised with Oprah’s recent schedule of interviews. None of these interviews are anything like what she did on her “Oprah” show which saddens me a bit. How do you go from interviewing the Dali Lama to interviewing the Kardashians and now Evelyn Lozada? Well Oprah did have Karinne Stephans on her show once but I thought that was a one time mistake never to be duplicated….guess not…whatever floats her boat, its her show and obviously she thinks people are really interested.

    • TeahMonae

I did not know Superhead was on Oprah!!! SMH

  • TeahMonae

SMH…I have a great deal of respect for Oprah and as much as I want to see Evelyn crying on Oprah’s couch ( cause O can make anybody cry), I just dont know how I feel about Evelyn being on Oprah. I always thought of being on Oprah as a sense of accompishment. Like, you’ve really “made it” if you’re on Oprah and I just don’t think Evelyn is worthy. I guess times have changed.

    • JaneDoe

Right.. Like we are really suppose to take Evelyn seriously with all of her past tirades.. Its unfortunate what happened to her but as far as Oprah feeding into this crap thats even more unfortunate…

  • sabrina

Oh goodness! But I will be watching this though. I wanna hear what she has to say about her abuse of other women and how right Jennifer was all along. Imma need to re-up on my popcorn too.

    • realadulttalk

She now sees that her actions were wrong-it took this devastating turn in her life to make her see the error in her ways. She would like to take this time to apologize to those she hurt with not only actions but words. She hopes that in the future women will learn to stick together and instead of fighting each other fight abuse. Does that sound about right? I think I saved you the interview!!!

      • JaneDoe

Yep.. Sounds right.. But you know that will never happen right

  • missmeme

Chile Evelyn needs to have a seat, and if that seat happens to be on the same couch as Oprah so be it…………..
