Look Who Might Be Bey’s Swexy Co-Star In The “A Star Is Born” Remake

Oh, yes. You are seeing right. If Beyonce isn’t enough to make people head to the theater to see Clint Eastwood’s remake of “A Star Is Born,” Bradley Cooper just might. According to Shadow and Act, the “Hangover” actor and former “S[w]exiest man alive,” according to PEOPLE, has been offered the part of Bey’s leading man.

Before you get your hopes all the way up, a source told the site, things are still pretty prelimenary, remarking:

“There is no deal in place and Cooper has a very busy schedule.”

There’s also the issue of several other men seemingly running from this role. Shadow and Act says Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale and Tom Cruise all bailed on the part at some point, hinting that just because Bradley’s name is attached to the project now doesn’t mean it’ll really be on final movie posters. In light of these actors turning down the part, S & A also brings up some interesting questions about the remake, like is the script bad, is Beyonce’s star power pushing these men away, or is it her poor acting ability that has turned these top-knotch actors away. I’m thinking it’s probably a combo of all of the above but I’m no psychic.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Beyonce and Brad on-screen together but being honest, I don’t think this film will make any of their acting careers—it might even break it.

    I get everyone is getting bored with her super stardom, hell even I am. But honestly I’d rather see her take a break from the music making and performing to work on acting. I can’t picture any of those actors playing next to her anyway, that would be CHEESY! I may be weird bc I actually thought glitter was a fun movie. But I believe she is WAYYY better than mariah carey or Kim Kardashian.

      I love glitter despite the story line haha…beyonce is no actress. when you act you’re suppose to make the audience forget who you are. when beyonce acts she’s just being beyonce under a different name, she has no depth. Mariah Carey did a good job in precious, i didnt see mariah carey i saw a social workier in due of some makeup ahaha. Mariah was good even though she didnt have much depth in her character. Beyonce is getting these parts becasue 1. she a singer and most of these parts require singing and 2. She has a big name and she’ll bring an audience becasue it’s her, not her acting talent. Beyonce needs to leave the acting to the actors.

    I don’t care who I offend but this is what everyone knows to be true. Beyonce is talented as a singer yes. Actor No. Period. Actors are tired of these singers thinking the crossover is easy and wanting to be paid and respected at their level that they work hard to get at. Not every rapper and singer can act and transition. Sorry. Nia Long couldn’t have said it any better. Beyonce is getting the part cause she is beyonce not because she is a great actress. Leonardo, Tom and Christian are power house actors they will not be caught dead acting next to her. It will make her look even worse as an actress and make them look as though they are over acting. Beyonce never could accept what happened with Dream girls….so she keeps trying to recreate that moment accepting the same roles. Beyonce’s acting was weird and unflattering next to Eddie, Jamie and Jennifer. She knows this. Jennifer Hudson got the attention she felt was due to her. She wants an oscar. I think they are going to end up with a B list or C list white male actor for this part. But you have to understand when actors sign their name to something they try and rationalize will this get them the right press. For an A list actor to play next to Beyonce is like Tom Cruise doing a Lifetime movie deal. They wont unless they have to. Lets face it these actors don’t have to. Money cannot buy what beyonce doesn’t have and that is real and raw acting skills. I dont care what you throw at these people leonardo, tom and christian bale are at the top of their game why would they accept what Idris did. Obsessed did nothing for his career. But probably get him an offer for tbs movie deal. That’s not what these actors want. Would beyonce do a duet with Just Britney, Kurt Kobain or any artist who hasnt broken into mainstream?

    Bey can’t act. I wish she stop and just stick to performing. Everything aint for everybody and just because you are Beyonce does not mean you can do everything. LOL! Her fans will follow jsut becasue but if they are honest with her an themselves she’ll stop embarrsing herslef on the big movie screen. I love DreamGirls but not her parts. Dry Dry Dry

    The only A Star Is Born movies I love is the ones from 1937 with Janet Gaynor and 1954 with Judy Garland. Bey is no Judy Garland when it comes to acting, Clint can do better than that!
