Notes From The Heart: Willow Smith Pens A Letter To Tupac!

The jokes just write themselves sometimes.

Now, I’m not sure what prompted this but, Willow Smith Instagrammed (for those who don’t know, that’s a picture app for Droid and iPhone users) a letter she wrote to Tupac “years ago,” as she put it.  Willow is only 11 years old now so I’m not really sure how old this letter actually is.  Anyway, she writes:

“Dear Tupac,

I know you are alive some place. I think that my mommy really misses you. Can you please come back? Can you come back so Mommy and me can be happy1 I wish you were here…I really do! Love, Willow”

Hmmm.  When they’re younger, children don’t really seem to have a filter so either Willow was just saying what she’d heard Jada say or she was able to pick up on her mom’s feelings from an early age. I’m not trying to start any trouble but think about it: what would make her say that her mom misses him?  There were always rumors that Tupac and Jada were more than just friends and she’s always spoken very highly of him so who knows.

You think Will feels any kind of way about that or was it probably just something fun and cute to do?  For her part, Jada also Instagrammed a picture of a letter Tupac sent her while he was in jail.  I guess Mommy and daughter were having a “We Miss Pac” day. I guess.

What was so wrong with her writing the letter? Tupac & Jada were friends and she passed the love for him down to her kids. Stop making something out of nothing!

Wow, so now we’re writing articles and making gossip speculations based on the letters of a child. That’s some hard-hitting journalism, Madame Noire! *sarcasm*

IT SEEMS LIKE THE WHOLE WORLD CHANGED WHEN TUPAC DIED. ISN’T THAT STRANGE… ONE PERSON TOUCHED SO MANY. JUST LIKE WHEN JOHN LENNON WAS MURDERED THE WORLD STOOD STILL FOR A SECOND.. R.I.P.

I love Pac also. So real, so vulnerable. He spoke the truth which most couldn’t handle. Of course he had to act/be a thug to sell records. Don’t judge him because most successful rapper had a questionable pass still they do not defend the poor or speak out on issues. I could listen Pac address issues all day (his documentaries). He is def up their with Lennon and Bob Marley. Their spirits were too big for this world!!

Um this looks like a 5 yr old wrote this…

that was my thought. i could have sworn she was 11. she writing like that!? i dont believe it.

      • TRUTH IS

She is the sharpest knife in the bunch either.

She probably did write it when she about 5. She said she wrote it “years ago”

Ok, so what’s the reason for this, again? I have never seen one person yet to come back from the dead. And can we get MLK back, if so. Maybe it’s just therapeutic…..IDK

    • MLS2698

Oh, wow! I was going to say eight-year-old. Anyway…….since they like social media so much, and want people to see their thoughts and feelings, she can read this too.

  • Treacle234

I doubt an 11 year old wrote this, the handwriting is terrible. The words are all over the place and of different sizes. I’m guessing, she was about 6 or 7 when she wrote this. If this is how an 11 year old writes, poor child.

    • diggy p.

Well, did you read the article? It said Willow wrote this years ago…

  • Lady Di

No, I don’t think Willow meant anything by her letter. Remember that Will is Willow’s father and no child wants anyone to come between their mother and father, heck grown children sometimes don’t want their parents to be or marry anyone else. Now go run and tell that!!!

  • Ms_Mara

    Well allllllllrighty then!

  • Blue Spirit

Both of their Mothers were drug addicts, those two did everything together, they were both hungry together, cried together, failed together, succeeded together, they motivated each other in school, they got in each others behind when one or the other was falling off. They did everything together. When Pac use to rap about his best homeboy I bet you didn’t know he was talking about Jada. “Jada can have my kidney”, I heard him quote these exact words, I know everyone else heard it too. They are brother and sister in a way that goes beyond this 3 dimensional world. I wish he was back so she could be happy too!

Uhhh, you left out the part where they dated briefly and Jada tried to clean it up to a friendship because you can’t let future hubby know I still love my ex, all yeah brother and sister don’t dream about sexing each other, read their letters. Tupac said a lot stuff to women, lol. Just like when he was engaged to Quincy Jones daughter but was cheating on her, or when he told women to keep their head up and called them hoes and B@#$ the next or how about when he used faith to get back at biggie and ruined a marriage. I laugh my butt off at people who talk about Tupac whom cannot separate the man from the artist. He was a great artist though.

Ummmmm, it’s still majorly weird for a child to write a letter like that.

    • MLS2698

Isn’t Jada happy with Will as a husband/friend? And how would Tupac increase willow’s happiness? What year was Willow born, and what does she know about Tupac? I’m just going on and on…..anyway. And I thought Jada’s mother was a nurse. How old was Jada when her mom was drugging?
