K. Michelle has been doing a lot of talking lately, but finally she’s doing it for a cause greater than herself. The “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” star has spoken out about the abuse she endured in her past relationship and now she’s partnered with the Saving Our Daughters, “I am Here..to Yell Confidence” campaign to encourage other women in similar situations to speak up as well. In the campaign PSA she says:
I AM HERE…
To help a young mother learn to love herself first
I AM HERE…
To help take the power away from date abuse….
I AM HERE…
To help take the power away from violence against women…
I AM HERE …
To help take the power away from all esteem slayers!
I AM HERE…
To YELL Confidence!
YELL Confidence with me by supporting Saving Our Daughters’ programs that help teens lead their lives with purpose and confidence.
The goal of this particular campaign with K. Michelle is to raise funds to help the organization’s efforts for young teens and early adults by empowering them to see their own self worth and make a positive impact in their community.
Fellow “Love & Hip-Hop” star Mimi Faust has also signed on to be an adult ally for girls and young women in the program, possibly stemming from her own history of rumored domestic abuse. She also has her own PSA in which she states:
“I am here to help take the power away from hate crimes. I am here to build up those who have been broken down. I am here to help stop the hurt.”
