K. Michelle has been doing a lot of talking lately, but finally she’s doing it for a cause greater than herself. The “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” star has spoken out about the abuse she endured in her past relationship and now she’s partnered with the Saving Our Daughters, “I am Here..to Yell Confidence” campaign to encourage other women in similar situations to speak up as well. In the campaign PSA she says:

I AM HERE…

To help a young mother learn to love herself first

I AM HERE…

To help take the power away from date abuse….

I AM HERE…

To help take the power away from violence against women…

I AM HERE …

To help take the power away from all esteem slayers!

I AM HERE…

To YELL Confidence!

YELL Confidence with me by supporting Saving Our Daughters’ programs that help teens lead their lives with purpose and confidence.

The goal of this particular campaign with K. Michelle is to raise funds to help the organization’s efforts for young teens and early adults by empowering them to see their own self worth and make a positive impact in their community.

Fellow “Love & Hip-Hop” star Mimi Faust has also signed on to be an adult ally for girls and young women in the program, possibly stemming from her own history of rumored domestic abuse. She also has her own PSA in which she states:

“I am here to help take the power away from hate crimes. I am here to build up those who have been broken down. I am here to help stop the hurt.”

this is a good idea. I just hope these ladies practice wat they preach… Its disapointing to see Mimi participate in this great PSA about women loving themselves but wen i turn on the tv, i see her in couples therapy with a guy who not only BLATANTLY puts her AND her baby last but also seems veryyyy phony in his effort to fix their relationship. smh. And K michelle hasnt been carrying herself in the best light as a strong black woman either. The things shes saying in this PSA doesnt reflect HER BEHAVIOR TOWARD WOMEN IN THE SHOW! If you want to uplift and unify women thats great, but you have to do it ALL THE WAY. The fighting and all that bs is very contradicting

Bottom line, these women are making an effort to do something positive and i WONT knock that. But like i said, I just hope they practice what they preach.

I am pleased to see these PSA’s. I pray K. Michelle stops acting contrary to this announcement. Now she truly has an image to up hold. Hope she starts making us former abuse victims proud instead of making us shake our heads.
