The snoozefest known as the “Real Housewives of DC” brings us another episode of barely-there drama and kookiness.
At the end of a day of grape-stomping and wine-tasting, Tareq tells everyone that Mary’s 23-year-old daughter and her friends stole a vehicle of his from an America’s Polo Cup event that had $25,000 worth of polo equipment in it. Just for kicks, he adds that the F.B.I. is looking into it because it was a $90,000 vehicle. Yeah, OK. Stacie and Jason seem angrier about the allegation than Mary, but I think they are just trying to keep themselves involved in some kind of drama. I like Stacie and Jason, but they are way too normal for reality television. In the end, everyone decides that Tareq is a nut-job and is making things up. Ya think?
The ladies attend an event by a Republican healthcare lobbyist and just because there is absolutely nothing else to do, Michaele wears a tiny hot pink dress with hooker heels and Cat comes dressed as Sarah Palin, complete with wig and glasses. First season and the show has already jumped the shark.
This event is held by a lobbyist who has worked for presidents and senators, yet the biggest name in the room as far as elected officials seems to be a city councilman. This is D.C., right?
Other things happen like Lynda buying a house in VA, but those things are pretty boring and inconsequential. Next week, Cat learns some “devastating” news and we are supposed to believe that something remotely interesting takes place. We shall see.
