Aaahh there’s nothing quite as sweet as young, blossoming love. The stolen kisses, hand-holding, hours-long conversations and romantic dates. Since we’re women who love a good romance, we decided to hit up our Facebook and Twitter followers to get them to share their best first date stories with us.     Some of you may think I’m looking for a pity party but I’m not. I NEVER had any good dates, however they were all BLIND dates. And the ones that I approached to say hello avoided me like they seen a ghost. They were all short-lived because the men I dated me thought I wasn’t physically attractive enough even though I had a positive attitude and enough self-confidence. Guess I might as well get a glock and shoot myself to death to curb the loneliness. I am 37 years old and never had a real boyfriend in my life. It’s really a hopeless situation and I kept praying for God for this to happen and I am still am hoping to find a good man…

      I hope the “get a glock and shoot myself” part was 100% sarcasm. Never give up on love and definitely don’t EVER give up on yourself. We all want things when we want them, but that’s just not the way it works. When you least expect it he will find you…and it will feel sooooo good!!! Let the anticipation of that moment keep you going. And hold on to that self confidence you spoke of. God Bless.

    My best first date was a guy took me to a rooftop lounge in New York City but it was one that wasn’t that packed. We had cocktails, sat on the couches, and talked for hours. I didn’t know this but he had visited the place the day before to make sure we had express entry so we didn’t have to wait…so sweet! :)

    The best 1st date? We went to Christmas in the Park in San Jose. We walked around and looked at all the Christmas trees, lights, rode the rides and had a ball. We played under the fake snow, went ice skating and watched the choir. After that; I took him to all my favorite food places. We tried this fancy bakery and got desserts and fed them to each other. My favorite pizza place and we had italian ice cream. That was the best first date. Even though we didn’t work out.. he is still my best friend to this day because we value our friendship so much. :)

    I’m trying to calculate Lynette’s story…If they have been married for only 26 years, how do they have 13 grandchildren…oh wait I think I got it lol..

    Mine was pretty simple. We went to the movies but our showing wasn’t for another hour, so we spent time walking around the nearby mall and talked the whole time. Then was the movie, and afterwards we got competitive & he beat my butt in pool! But the continuous conversation (other than during the movie lol) was the best and most memorable part. We are getting married in less than a year :)
