In case you thought Derwin Davis was killed off “The Game”, Pooch Hall has some news for you:

The star of the BET show took to his Twitter account to announce he is officially returning despite rumors that he was out.

Back in May, rumors began circulating that Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall were quitting the show because of contract disputes. Tia confirmed she was leaving (but didn’t say why) and Pooch asked his fans to keep the faith because BET was still working things out.

Well, it looks like things worked out!

Pooch already has a new role as a series regular on Showtime’s Ray Donovan. That show shoots in LA and The Game is shot in Atlanta. Apparently, distance is no obstacle though and the “2 show kid” will be working on both shows.

It’s not clear if Pooch will have the same prominent role on “The Game” that he had before. Melanie and Derwin were the crux of the show, but BET reportedly replaced Tia and Pooch with Lauren London and Jay Ellis. So, unless “Melanie L I V E S” too then what is Derwin going to do? Get back with Janay? Really, there’s no use speculating because it’s BET which means anything goes and whatever they do probably won’t make any sense.

For the many, many fans of the show, Pooch Hall’s return is great news. BET hasn’t released a premiere date yet for Season 6, but when the Game comes back, will you be watching?

    Derwin and Janay are ot getting back together because last season Janay got engaged to her new boyfriend Noah and took her son DJ and move to New York. I doubt she will even be on the sixth season. Besides the actress who played Janay, Gabrielle Dennis is now gonna be on a new show for Bet called What Would Dylan Do with Kelly Rowland.

    The writers better come up with something good for Derwin’s storyline since Tia who played Pooch’s wife will no longer be on the show and there is also two new characters

    I won’t…the writing has been horrible for the past two seasons, and I don’t trust that it will be any different this season. They just brought him back b/c they know nobody wants to watch that crap w/o Melanie & Derwin, so they’re hoping that having Derwin gives them a shot at retaining viewers.

    Uh the show ended with Melanie going back to Johns Hopkins to do her residency. Derwin had already renewed his contract with the Sabres and the show ended with them winning the super bowl. So more than likely Derwin will be in San Diego during football season and with Melanie during off season. We’ll see. But even with the awful writers they have now they should know die hard fans will be pissed if they break up Derwin and Melanie all together.
