She Say He Just a Friend: K. Michelle Says She’s Not Dating Olympian Ryan Lochte

K. Michelle made it clear on Monday night’s episode of “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” that she likes a man who’s a little thugged out, and though Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte may look innocent from the outside, that iced-out American flag grill he sported over the weekend had many thinking he might just be right up the reality TV star’s alley. But after lots of suspect tweets and pics of these two started hitting the Internet, K. Michelle denied any romantic relationship and claimed the 27-year-old New Yorker is just a good friend. Her rep said in a statement to The YBF:

“K. Michelle and Ryan Lochte are just great friends who support one another. Ryan and K. Michelle have known one another for some time, and their relationship is nothing more but wonderful and supporting friends in each other’s career.”

Speculation started with MediaTakeout, of course, saying that the pair had been seen out and about at tons of events looking quite cozy and even suggested Ryan—and his mama who boldy defended her son’s singleness—have denied that they’re dating because K. Michelle’s hood persona wouldn’t be good for his image. Rude. The aspiring singer isn’t too worried about all the nonsense though, she followed up her rep’s statement on the rumored relationship with this tweet:

“This is so out the blue and old news. I am single. I have friends and I support their endeavors! #carryon”

And carry on we will. Do you think K and Ryan would have made a cute couple though?

    I definitely thought Ryan Lochte was very attractive. However, my mini-crush all but disappeared when I saw him wear that iced-out grill. Why anyone would want to cover perfectly nice teeth with those iced-out monstrosities is beyond me. On another note, who is K-Michelle?

    He’s a cutie!! While it may have been rude if the mother said K was too hood…is she wrong?? If he were black would this even be a topic?? I don’t know of many mothers who would be happy to have a woman who is prone to outbursts the way K is with their son. If one of my brothers brought her home (while she and I would have a great time) I’d be wondering how well he thought that through and discussing with him where he thought this could possibly go.

    they probably were ‘friends’ with benefits, or even dating at one time. His publicist probably called hers and demanded that she make a retraction due to his ‘image’ I dont’ know why it’s so hard for white (or even black) america to believe that not every olympian is pure and lily white bread, he probably does like him a hood chick.

    & you twisted his mothers words all the way up. His mother never said K.Michelle would ruin his image or anything about hood. She said he’s always busy, training & stuff & wouldn’t have time for a girlfriend. If my child was in the Olympics, they better not worry about the opposite sex lol. You focus on getting them medals.

      The mother also said, he’s all into one night stand. So, I guess she’s part of the booty call. She needs to chill out though, always holding on to him, looks a little forced. Ryan Lockte is not the good all American boy, so this “bad white boy” is in his comfort zone.

    I’m glad K. Michelle didn’t over- speak on this topic. She has enough drama with a previous fIame. I don’t think viewers know enough about Ryan’s personality to know if K and him would make a good couple. Although I find his love of grills and her recent admittance on L&HH to liking men with gold teeth amusing, so far all I’ve heard are ignorant comments on how “ghetto” one or both of them are. I think they look cute together in the pics they have taken though:)
