Six Tips to Help You Stick To Your Vacation Budget

Keep it real. You’re not a multi-millionaire. (Or maybe you are. In which case, you don’t need to read this story. Check out this one instead?)

Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean you should start throwing around cash like it’s confetti. Keep a mental note of how much you’re spending each day and avoid nasty surprises from your bank when you get home.

And use cash. Rationing your cash each day of your stay is a good way to keep to a budget. If you’re someplace where you need to convert dollars to local currency, bring dollars and change them over. If you’re not big on math, pressing random numbers on a foreign ATM screen could lead to trouble.
