What Would Happen If Gladys Knight Got Around Paris Jackson? She Wouldn’t Have Any Teeth

Everybody has their own opinions about the messiness that is the Jackson family right now, but the most bold of all might be the one from fellow celeb Gladys Knight. Yesterday the legendary singer appeared on the CBS daytime show “The Talk” and when the hosts asked her for her thoughts on everything going on with the Jackson clan right now, she didn’t hesitate to say how she really felt.

“It’s drama, that’s what it is. If you lived up under the microscope as this family does, everybody has dysfunctionality in their families, either one way or the other,” she started.

“See, I’m from the south and was raised in that southern way. You have to understand Paris is what, 14? How old is Janet? Who’s the one who tries to direct the other one here? And I would think that it’s a good thing she let’s Paris know who she is. She is a Jackson, she shouldn’t be putting the business out there like that. Cause people read into whatever they want to read into, that’s how they get the drama. So, she’s just trying to protect her, in a way. But if she [Paris] called me that, she wouldn’t have any teeth…You respect your elders.”

I think Gladys might be getting the “spoiled b****” line that everyone has been talking about mixed up because that’s what Janet supposedly called Paris, but everything else I agree with. The public wouldn’t know half of the foolery going on in that Calabasas compound if it weren’t for her tweets—and the police records. When celebrities in their 20s and 30s and even 40s don’t know how to handle Twitter, the social media site can definitely be a dangerous thing in the hands of a teenager who talks a lot of stuff 140 characters at a time 24/7. Eventually she’s going to wish she didn’t have the entire world in her business, especially when there’s enough immediate family to contend with. Maybe Gladys oughtt to pay a trip to the grounds and set them all straight.     I swear if I see one more person write that the Jackson’s are trying to get to those little brats money I am going to Scream! My goodness, the Jackson 5 had hit after hit, as they did when they called themselves the Jackson’s . All the brothers made a crap load of money also when they went on the victory tour, and they are touring now. So take money out of the equation. What you are left with is an 82 year old woman raising two teens and a kid. There is no tellining what theses undisciplined children are or are not doing. They are not going to tweet we are driving grandma crazy, including that 34 year grandson that took custody. Miss Jackson, is Janet’s mother and she has every right to protect her and make sure she is okay. Besides, everything everyone is writing is speculatin, including myself. I feel like because most people are broke, they always think it is about money, I doubt that s the case here because they all have enough, Especially Janet!

        There are plenty of people who aren’t broke who don’t pay their child support, ijs. Anyway, If all the kids have cellphones why didn’t Katherine just call them directly? It all sounds crazy to me, but Paris is 14 and no 14 yr old should talk to an adult that way, PERIOD. And best believe Janet is FAR from broke.

      I don’t know about the rest of the family but Janet has her own! Her net worth is freaking $150 million & she’s with a billionaire. $$$ may be the issue but perhaps the family is trying to protect MJ’s $$ from the executor’s of his will! I also don’t think Katherine should be watching all of those kids anyway. From their interview with Oprah, four or five of her other grandchildren were living with her as well! All of those teenagers are too much for anyone much less an 82 year old woman!

    Who cares about what Gladys think first of all it is not her business she should have responded in a professional way and not in a defamed way.She didn’t know anymore than any of us did about what actually happen so if you don’t the real deal hold your comments and stay out of other folks business.Oh and by the way Glady’s your hair needed a comb too it.

    I have a 14 yr old and she loves to act like it kills her to comply with the rules, but even she knows you don’t air family business.. If I was Janet, I would have probably done the same thing if she was putting the family business out like that. I have my own opinions about their fight for the money, but I will withhold that. But Ms. Gladys is right! I was raised that same way. You show respect to your elders….period!! You don’t try and out talk them, you don’t sit around looking in their mouth when they are talking to other adults, you are a child…stay in your lane! I would take all phones, computers, ipads, theypads, youpads or whoever pads from her an shut down the accounts until she can show better and mature judgment.

      Maybe I’m just lost but didn’t she respond to Randy’s tweets? The adults WHERE the ones who started airing the dirty laundry right? So why is it that she’s wrong for speaking up for her grandmom and sibs? Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? It amazes me that people are forgetting some VITAL information. She wasn’t just mouthing off like those kids used to do on Maury and shows of that ilk. She was protecting her family and telling the truth. And if she was my child I would be very proud of her. She’s showing good judgement. Not in tweeting that stuff, a nice statement issued by the lawyers would’ve sufficed but I guess she figured why not expose the liars the same way they spouted their lies? I was told by some of the people who raised me to “stay in a child’s place” and that was mostly when I was little little (like 5 or 6. I was a little precocious child) But once I became a teenager my mom was all for me voicing my opinion in a respectful manner and since I respected (and still do) her and she treated me with respect I was all for following this rule. But let an elder talk out the side of their neck and me for no reason or lie about my family for some ulterior motives, you best BELIEVE what they received would not be considered RESPECTFUL by anyone! Please let’s stop telling our children “you should respect your elders” NO! You should RESPECT those who RESPECT YOU! I live my life by the Golden Rule and that’s the way I’ll raise my children. It’s “Do unto others as you will have them do unto you.” That’s the ONLY rule we need. Gladys needs to sit and shut it. If you REALLY wanna be helpful to little Paris why don’t you sit down TALK TO HER, not AT her, LISTEN to what she has to say and HELP her see the errors of her ways. She’s not completely right in what she did and how she acted BUT the “ADULTS” (and I use that term lightly) weren’t right just because they’re older. That’s just some bull.

        I disagree with this statement. Paris is a child and and children should not disrespect their elders. If she felt unsafe, abused, or mistreated then Paris should talk to another adult in authority and not take it upon herself to put their family business in the media. We should teach our kids meekness. I teach teenagers, u can’t control how someone treat you or communicate with you, you can only control YOUR BEHAVIOR! As a teenager, i knew not to disrespect my elders even if they disrespected me. I took that to another adult or to my parents, and let them address the other adults, AND my mom would always ask me, ok, i understand what they did to you but what did u do? how did u respond? If i told her that i responded in a negative way, she would tell me that she was disappointed. My mom tried to teach me to always take the high road and take control of my behavior and don’t blame other people for YOUR ACTIONS. Even if Paris aunts and uncles mistreated her, there is still a better way to handle this situation. So Paris is just as wrong as her family. I don’t think her aunts or uncles are mistreating them. Why would they give a family member custody of Paris and her siblings? We still have to be held accountable for our actions, and Paris need to be held accountable for her actions

          I never said she wasn’t accountable. I said she shouldn’t have put her bis on Twitter but SHE’S not the adult here. And and “adult” did it first. If all she and her sibs have ever heard from their dad was “don’t trust these specific family members, just your grandmom” how do you think she’s going to respond to her grandmom being missing for 8 or 9 days without a word from her? And then all of a sudden those SAME family members that your dad warned you about start coming around and releasing statements and getting on Twitter spreading lies? Who do you talk to? What ADULT is there to help you? She was alone and possibly scared and wanted answers that no one was answering. Just because some one is younger doesn’t mean they can’t comprehend what’s going on around them. And if what’s going on around them DIRECTLY effects them than they MOST DEFINITELY deserve to know what’s happening. And when they don’t The reaction from Paris is EXACTLY what you could get as a result. And guess what? As an adult in the situation instead of hiding the truth and telling her to “stay in your lane” you could have informed her and nipped this bud

    This whole scenario is more evidence to me as to why Michael stayed away from these people and kept his kids away from them. With the exception of Janet, none of them make any money. So they are all trying to find a way to get money. These people or more like Joe Jackson than people even realized and their Mother unfortunately is not much better. She left 3 underage children home alone in a house with servants and for what? She needs to explain herself. As much as Paris may have been wrong for putting their business out there, if she had been properly supervised by her “guardian” maybe it wouldn’t have happened.

    Paris, Prince and Prince Michael hopefully will grow into mature, self sufficient, empathetic adults like Michael intended them to and make their father proud.

    But right now the drama is going to continue unless someone from the outside of all this drama steps in and ends this.

    As for Tito, Jermaine, Randy and Marlon, how about you go out and get some GEDs and get some real jobs for a change. Support yourself. Michael did for countless years, now he’s gone and all the money he worked for was left to his children, not to you. Get over it!

    Gladys has no standing in this and her opinion in this is more that irrelevant. She was raised in the South (so was I) but who cares? People are raised differently. It is obvious that something isn’t right about any of this, but the Jackson’s has seperated the grandmother from the grandchildren. Just like the other reader said, Prince exposed Janet. Why are they keeping Katherine from the grandkids; weren’t they left in her care? The Jacksons are looking really shady right now. It’s becoming more and more evident as to why Michael didn’t deal with much of his siblings.

      We don’t know, nor will we ever know the whole story. Janet doesn’t need MJ’s money, she has her own, so I don’t think that’s her issue at all. There’s a reason why Ms. Katherine needed a break. We as parents, need and deserve that. However, I do believe that Randy and Jermaine have always had their own reasons for their actions. Janet may have seen a need to get her mom away from MJ’s children, Jermaine, Randy, the other grandchildren, etc. I would do it for my mom in a heartbeat if I thought that she needed it and wouldn’t care what anyone had to say about it!     Gladys look like that aunt you know not to play with..I didn’t take Janet for one and not condoning if she did have to slap some sense into Paris, but she is a child that needs some kind of discipline. I would start by shutting down her twitter and whatever social media she uses until she understands the damage those outlets are capable of especially with her being MJs daughter and just having that Jackson last name.

    I still find it hard to believe that Janet slapped that child. What Paris obviously doesn’t know is all of the backstory behind this family and has mistaken them to be like anyother family. These kids were sheltered beyond words and they are now surrounded by people who really see them more as dollar signs who don’t want to set boundaries for them for fear of being cut off or losing their favor. So on one hand you have family who is trying to set boundaries and on the other hand you have family who want to play the “good guy” and side with the kids. At the end of the day Paris is a hormonal teenager like anyother with zero life experience yet thinks they have all of the answers and it’s everyone else who has it wrong. This isn’t the first time a teen has pushed the limits of respect to the point where all you wanna do is smack em’ up. I still find it strange that Mama Kathyren left those kids for several days and they didn’t know where she was….who was at the house taking care of the kids? Do they have a lack of post it notes or haven’t invested in one of those erasable memo boards? WTH?!

      Your last few questions are what you should really be worried about. So what if Paris is acting up (maybe). The inciting incident to this all was Katherine going missing. Then suddenly all hell breaks loose. But you and all of us should remember that just because someone is family or older than you doesn’t mean much these days because families are turning on each other in the worst of ways (like the Bible said would happen…if you’re a christian). Not only that but we also know that in hollywood the older people always steal the kids money and that this is a family full of weird, conniving, sneaky people. You got two brothers that have the same ex-wife, women you had secret marriages for a while, horrendous image issues, the matriarch and patriarch of the family who are said to still be married (as mentioned on Oprah) but haven’t lived together or even in the same state for years, and a dead man who was said to be killed (by a doctor who really would have nothing to gain) whose estate is worth billions of dollars. There is a lot of animosity in that family and just because someone is grown doesn’t make them right.

Wasn’t Randy tweeting also? & wasn’t Marlon crying on TV? So even if Paris was a mute, the info would have still gotten out! So i don’t understand why all the blame is being put on Paris. All of this is concerning her. She has a right to speak up for herself & her brothers. Her only parent has died, since then its been a battle over her dads money. She probably doesn’t know who to trust, including Janet. Since her dad has died, the Jackson family has used her to be the spokeswoman. Setting up interviews for her to talk even tho MJ would have never allowed that. I agree with Janet, she is acting like a “spoiled b” She doesn’t want to respect her elders etc. She and her siblings are probably driving Katherine nuts with there spoiled behinds. And I have to disagree, her parents are very much alive, and since she’s so intelligent and knows more than the Jacksons, she and her siblings should be place with her biological parents, one or the other.       No doubt, teenagers need discipline nowadays. However, in this situation Paris and Prince have a voice especially for the fact that Katherine is agile, and can’t fight for them. They are trying to voice their opinion, too bad social media is the platform. I have no problem with Janet insisting Paris stay out of Hollywood until she’s grown enough and demand some respect. What I have problem with is the fact that her uncles and aunt took their grandmother away from them with no contact. It looks like Jermaine and Randy are up to something fishy. The fact that MJ listed none of his family members in his will or as guardian except his mother says a lot about how dysfunctional the family has always been. MJ, didn’t trust his own family, not even one, that right there says a lot. I thought, MJ’s death will bring them closer, I guess not. I expected one of his sisters, maybe Rebbie or Janet to be listed as the second guardian and now Tito’s son has temporary guardianship. I tell you, this family is one messed up one. It’s truly sad.

Going to twitter and talking about their fans like they have done anything fan worthy. It looks like they are looking for attention if you ask me. As soon as their new guardian doesn’t let them have their way they will be trying to fire him too. Those kids need to be disciplined NOW before they wind up like all the other hollyweird kids!
