You’ve Been Warned! Red Flags That Men Say They Get From Women

Too Much of a Good Thing

“I know some very attractive women that use make-up to make themselves look beautiful, but sometimes they wear way too much or don’t really need it at all. With make-up, less is more.”

For some men, too much make-up, weave, accessories or overly-done attire could be too much of a good thing. Although things like make-up and the physical appearance of a woman is supposed to enhance the features and personality, men are overwhelmed by the ones who go overboard with it, leading to questions of possible insecurity and what’s behind the appearance. One male describes his ideal date’s make-up, noting that ‘less is more.’

yet some men and women are so desperate they’ll take anything red flags, flaws and all. men will say they don’t like this or that in a woman (kids, tats, bad manners) but will chase after her anyway. can’t say one thing and do another.

  • MLS2698

    # 7, I think men usually still sleep with the women, but call her loose afterwards. Double standard.

    • DUMBBEACHPLEASE

…AND MARRY HER AFTER A COUPLE OF NIGHTS IF IT’S GOOD. I’VE SEEN IT MANY OF TIMES. LOL. IVE ALSO SEEN PEOPLE MAKE HIM WAIT SIX MONTHS AND STILL GET DUMPED ONCE HE SMASHES. HA HA HA I GUESS EVERY SITUATION IS DIFFERENT.

      • Chanda

yeah making wait 6 months isn’t gonna make him respect you more or stick around. by all means wait til you’re ready but waiting 180 days is too much of a tease unless you’re getting married or long distance love.

  • Is It 5:00 Yet?

I would definitely run for the hills if I was a man too.

  • oh well!

Red Flag: If she is a single mom looking for someone to take care of her. Definitely run for the hills. I have a good friend who is with this woman, who has a child and told him from the beginning she is looking for a guy to take care of her. Instead of him running for the hills, he says no one is perfect and is sticking around?

    • DUMBBEACHPLEASE

ANY WOMAN (SINGLE OR NOT, MOM OR NOT) THAT DOESNT WANT A MAN TO TAKE CARE OF HER NEEDS TO RAISE HER STANDARDS. YOUR FRIEND HAS A DIFFERENT SET OF VALUES THAN YOU. MANY MEN AND WOMEN DO. MOST FATHERS WOULD CRINGE AT THE THOUGHT OF THEIR DAUGHTER WITH A MAN WHO DOESNT TAKE CARE OF HER. GROSS

    • Kayo

So, that would make this your friend’s issue, not a woman issue.

    • FStubbs

He probably can’t do any better.

I think there should be a list for Ratchet behavior. Every since video girls and nicki minaj made “big booty” history now every chick wants to be ratchet. I took the liberty of making a list: Ahem…

    1. If she rude to the waiter/wait staff (Either she does not not how to respect people or she believes she is “owed” an exclusive amount of attention)

    2. She tweets/texts her issues- That is a HUGE problem. That means there will not be 2 people in the relationship and every issue will brought to the attention of the group counsel aka.. her followers.

    3. She asks you about your salary- Run… absolutely not her business.

    4. “Oh I have friends…” <— Yeah; basically Tyrone, Jason, LeRoy and Dante come over when they want because she isn't looking for a relationship. Just a long stroke and a good night cap.

    5. The amount of baby fathers- Yes… that is important. especially if her kids are 1,3 and 5.

    6. If she ducts or constant eye glances when you're out- "RED FLAG…. craig & em' might be crazy…deranged…and packin!"

    7. Most importantly— The conversation. Remove her cute smile, eyes, and the big booty on duty and see if she is listening to you vs. saying whatever just to see if you have money and a good night cap in her future.

Alrighty— That is a nice add to that list. :-) Good Luck fellas.

    • Kayo

This sounds like the low class woman checklist.

Do you comment on Clutch? Is this Toppin?

      • JustSayin

No; I didn’t. This is a list of signs that men should check for… to avoid ratchet/annoying behavior.

All of these seem sort of common sense-ish.

    What about…

Bad Credit/ Being bad with finances
Religious beliefs/ Where you both stand
What the relationship is with her children/ Is she a good mother?

    • Kayo

Right. I think the issue with Black men is that they are quick to try and get to the next step before knowing if a woman is even interested.

  • http://www.facebook.com/barbara.codner Barbara Codner

Fellas, I wouldn’t recommend buying a drink for a woman who’s not interested in you. It’s comes off as presumptuous!! You should introduce yourself and see if you can vibe with her for a bit and then offer to buy her a drink. A woman who likes you won’t turn down a drink.

  • Nat

What about materialistic references and (worst of all), blabber about what “a real man is supposed to do.”

    • UKBob

Good point. Its annoying when a woman who grew up with a father, in a neighbourhood with no productive male role models and who have never had a relationship with a good man give lectures on what a man is supposed to do.
With regards to the article, if I know you have had sex with many different men and yet make me wait 6 months I will not respect you more. Also women use independent incorrectly. No good man hates a woman who is independent, what we hate are arrogant, chatty, aggressive a-holes. And if you have dated losers and wasters, chances are you are a loser/waster or are attracted to that kind of chump. Sob stories about how men always break your heart to an intelligent man are signs that you are attracted to drama and the kind of man who brings that.

      • UKBob

        *without a father

  • Nat

What about constant references to the cost of everything?

  • KamJos

I wouldn’t want to date some of these women either. If this helps men choose better quality mates I’m all for it.

  • Herm Cain

Kids and tats if you see those run!!

    • Nisha

      That goes for men too!

    • Kristina Tramel

Not everyone with a child and/or tats are bad people. I guess it might depends on how many kids and what/where the tat is…

  • GalaxyEmpress

    Meh, whatever!!

  • Kayo

This list is ‘lol’ funny. I think women put too much effort into caring what men think.

    • IJS

That’s cool for the ones who aren’t looking for a man. But if they are looking, shouldn’t they care?

      • Kayo

If that is what they choose to do.

      • DUMBBEACHPLEASE

NOPE. THE ONES THEY WANT THE MOST DON’T CARE, DON’T WANT THEM, AND ARE NOT EVEN LOOKING. WOMEN TRYING TOO HARD= MEN WHO DON’T HAVE TO.
