Keenan Ivory Wayans’ Ex-Wife Wants To Get On “Hollywood Exes”

It’s hard to tell how interested the public is in VH1′s new show “Hollywood Exes.” The series definitely hasn’t attained as much attention as the network’s other reality hits like “Basketball Wives” and “Love & Hip-Hop” but should one of the few sensible shows on the channel get picked up for a second season, Keenan Ivory Wayan’s Ex-Wife Daphne wants to be down.

According to TMZ:

Sources tell us, Daphne Wayans – who was married to Keenan from 2001 to 2004 and has 5 children with him — will join the cast for the second season of the VH1 show … just as soon as they get picked up by the network.

According to Wikipedia’s timeline, Keenan and Daphne were married in 2000 and he filed for divorced three years later in 2003, but by either account the two were only married a short while. Not much is known about what Daphne has been up to since becoming single but the good thing is if she does join the cast it won’t be to stir up drama. TMZ caught Daphne hanging out with a couple of her potential future cast mates, Sheree Fletcher and Andrea Kelly, and they appear to all be pretty cool with each other which is a very good thing. The closer the friends, the less the problems—unless we’re talking about Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada. Only time will tell whether the “Hollywood Exes” will be brought back and Daphne will have a chance to tell her side of the story. Season 1 is just about half over.

Have you been keeping up with “Hollywood Exes?” Would you want to see Daphne join the cast?

Daphne and Nicole are good friends. Before Daphne and Keenen married in 2000 they were together from like 1988 or 89 so I’m pretty sure she has a lot to tell about her life.

  • gracie

I watch the show, Nicole is my favourite.

My daughters and I really like the show. I personally don’t need to watch drama all the time. I like seeing how the women are managing there new life as newly divorced women. In general, the public has a conception of ex wives and husbands as they are living it up and enjoying what financial benfits they have established from there previous marriages. However, I think it is interesting to see the women creating a new chapter in their life.

PS. Please don’t try to make this another show about who said what and let me go and check that blah, blah. Don’t need anymore women fighting with Christian Louboutin shoes on and designer handbags flying in the air. No Thank You! LOL!

They’re NOT newly divorced. It makes me wonder, why can’t you get on with your lives and stop riding your famous ex’s coat tails?

  • realadulttalk

I’d be very surprised if this show saw season 2. They have to find a happy medium. Right now the show is just a little too boring…I’m not saying the women need to fight…but SOMETHING needs to go on.

I like the show, it is indeed different but what story does she (Daphne) have to tell? If her story was relevant why didn’t she sell it to the tabloids back in 2004 when she and Keenan divorced.

I don’t see the relevance of the show, because these women look like they are still holding on to their past. However, it’s nice to see group of women not using profanity every second, calling each other the “B” word and always fighting.

    • Treacle234

Mayte still has Prince stuff. I believe she is indeed still holding on to her past even though it’s been 12 years.

  • CA Pullen

I don’t watch it. this is just another person who is seeking to get in of the reality show business to get quick money.

  • Hello_Kitty81

Sweetie, please have a seat! We got enough of these celebrity wives, girlfriends, sidepieces, and baby mamas wanting to be famous.

  • cherrygrlnc

I like the show. It is not drama filled and portrays them in a better light than the other reality shows. Andrea needs to stop all that crying but it is interesting to see how they are coping after being married to someone famous.

  • Mrs. A

Her and Nicole Murphy are friends.

  • Zoe Skkye

The show is boring to me. I just don’t see the relevance in having a show of women who used to be married to so and so…just doesn’t make any sense to me. I wouldn’t want to be recognized as someones’ has been but someones’ current…they all just need to get over the past and move on…sheesh.

    • Tesa

Funny cuz I asked myself why Nicole soon to be Strahan wants to be known as Eddie Murphy’s ex and not the soon to be Mrs Strahan!!

      • ATF

My same sentiment. I didn’t understand that. Will Smith’s ex-wife is married and still is known as Will’s ex wife…Idk maybe it is just us.
