Just a Misunderstanding? The Dream Apologizes To Christina Milian and Quits Twitter

Okay, so we may have jumped the gun on what The Dream’s tweets meant the other day—or either he’s trying to do serious damage control. Christina Milian seemed like the likely target of a series of tweets the singer/songwriter sent out earlier this week that alluded to a certain person being a has-been, gold digger, and seeking 15 minutes of fame. He also said almost the same thing he told a radio station about the situation with the mother of one of his children who put him on blast about his parenting skills, which is, if I had a problem with someone I’d pick up the phone and call. But now The Dream says the tweets weren’t directed at Christina but a random Twitter follower, and he’s also decided to quit Twitter personally because of the misunderstanding. Hmm.

Here’s the long message he sent out over Twitter:

“I just figured out people are attaching twitter things to someone yesterday. Actually I was answering a Fan openly like I always do but excluded their Name. So I’m sincerely Sorry if anyone was offended. Christina is a Good Parent and a Great role model.

Just got back on twitter since yesterday had I known I was being watched by the feds I would’ve put more thought that people would attach Any problems I have I call and discuss them and I desire the same. Didn’t know I was even important enough to be discussed. Its Sad I think People Love Tension and I won’t be playing this Game esp when a innocent child is involved.

This is why i argue to keep my Childrens lives as private as I can. Because the only people who actually care and should care are the people who made you..its a Mean World Can’t control what Christina Does all I can say is I wish her well and pray that in time we will heal. Because this helps no one. Love Always. Again sorry for the misleading info…. Even though I never attached her name or uttered her name in a Demeaning way. The truth is… Is all things need Time.

I have no strife with Christina for I know this life is To Long sometimes you fight those u love most. I’m sure none of what I’ve written that actually has a Name attached will get noticed. lol

I apologize 4 the Misunderstanding I’m way to blessed for that.Fasting on Negativity nothing but positive quotes will come from here, as I see my Voice is pretty loud these days lol

In order to protect people I love and care about I will not be using Twitter personally from now to infinity. Thank you all for your support. Over the years. Love you all Soooo much. And this move deff isn’t from Fear but more about Growth and responsibility. I need to me a Man and More responsible Period. I am Smart and even though with all the confidence in the world when it comes to Familu even I can be affected….

Trust Me I don’t DOUBT for one Minute that I am Not a GOOD MAN and have been to others. I know who I am and how hard I have worked. I truly Love you all and all the great personal conversations we have had. Ill miss u from my Day to Day but I’m sure everyone willUnderstand. This is a Small sacrifice. leave u with this only god is to be Everywhere at all times.

I don’t know, I think he might be backtracking on the Christina shade, but more power to him for trying to be a more responsible man. Let’s see how long this Twitter hiatus lasts.

    Unfortunately he had to air his emotions in public because she aired out hers. He is an artist and as a celebrity you will always be in the limelight. Like Christina… when was her last hit? Dip it low? Exactly…but she is still a celebrity and she needs to act like it. “Calling” him out on twitter or in an interview is not going to make that man grow up and be a better parent. Nivea has not complained and she is living her life accordingly. At some point people (celebrities or not) need to realize that the more you air your dirty laundry the more people will be in your business and the more opinions you will hear… but none of that equals a solution.

    Here’s a thought…instead of putting it on twitter he should have acted like the man he wants us to believe he is and simply picked up the phone and called Christina to hash out any misunderstandings there were. He was clearly responding to what she said about him in an interview about his parenting skills or lack thereof. Now on to Christina….Dear Christina, in the future if you have something you need to get off of your chest regarding your daughters’ father, please do all of us a favor and simply pick up the phone and call HIM to hash out any mistunderstandings and concerns you have about his involvement or lack thereof in your daughters life. Airing your dirty laundy and spewing jabs at your ex in public is nothing but childish and immature. Remember, your daughter will not be a little girl forever. She will eventually learn how to read and will understand what she sees and hears. You have stated that you have moved on with your life……act like it!
