People Telling You to Eat And 5 Other Skinny Girl Problems

Hard time shopping for clothes

So you think only overweight women run into problems when shopping for new clothes? Think again, because being thin doesn’t mean everything will fall just right. Many items are off limits because they just don’t look right when you haven’t got the curves to fill them out. I know the frustration of trying on what looked like a really nice dress or pair of pants on the hanger/mannequin only to be disappointed. And, unfortunately, there are instances when not even tailoring can help solve the problem. Sometimes the only option is buying in the kids’ or juniors section, which, depending on the store/brand, can actually work out well. But on the whole, grown women perusing girls’ or teenagers’ clothing for adult-suitable items equals a fail.

Oh, and why does everyone say “real women” when they mean size 14 and up. Am I not real??!!

Thank you! I have exactly all of these problems and I’m normal weight according to my doctor. I actually watch my weight and I’m a runner, not sickly. I feel like I almost need a ‘skinny’ girl support group.
