Straight From The Pulpit: Juanita Bynum Admits To Sexual Affairs With Women

I wasn’t aware of this, but apparently there have been rumors circulating for years about televangelist and Gospel recording artist  Juanita Bynum having sexual affairs with women. According to Elev8.com, the buzz started back as early as 2007, with several blogs claiming she had been involved in a lesbian affair prior to her highly publicized divorce. Remember that “Divorce Court” debacle? Some sources even suggested there was a sex tape, and though the self-professed prophetess didn’t confirm or deny that particular rumor, she did admit to sleeping with women in an interview with the Frank and Wanda Morning Show on Atlanta’s V-103 station.

“I’ve been there and I’ve done it all,” she told the hosts. “I’ve [done] the drugs. I’ve been with men. I’ve been with women. It’s not a line, it’s my life.”

It’s not clear if that lesbian period occurred during her pre-pulpit days or if she was in fact sleeping with women while she was married. The pentacostal leader didn’t care to elaborate on those details, but she did discuss her testimony a bit more on Twitter:

“If my life’s testimony offends you then good. Now you can go serve Christ for real because he will never disappoint you ever!!! Testimony is what you get after something has been put to death, Maybe that’s why we don’t see a lot of them. You got to kill it to tell it. A real Christian is not ashamed of the gospel nor what the Gospel has done and will do!! Remember that!!!”

    It might have been the best thing for her to do by coming out about her past because if she didn’t, remember that there are still witnesses. Yes the women that she slept with are indeed living witnesses and in this day and age they Will tell it because they don’t think they are doing anything wrong and tired of hiding. That same mindset is what gets a lot of high profile people in trouble with homosexuals. I’ve seen it time and time again.
    If you wander up and down the streets seeking drugs as i have in my past life before i was delivered, most dope dealers don’t know who you are when they sell to you in the dark behind dark alleys but it takes you and a witness to have sex and some people aren’t quiet. Some people are motivated to tell by money or their 15 minutes of fame or even those disgusted by the people they perceive to live one way and go sneak across the fence to get their (freak on) if you will. Just remember the Ted Haggert ordeal. I can see why she told it and i commend her for it. Just pray that the Lord Will keep her from her past desires because i have slipped up and fell back into drugs as a Christian only to pick myself back up and move on forward with the Lord again. And I firmly believe that the homosexual spirit is much stronger than the drug spirit because it has to do with human needs only that need is a perverted lie of Satan.

    if she’s already spoke on it and said it before, why is this news now? clearly that was a part of her life that she left long ago. .

    Shes saying that this is apart of her PAST. Its apart of her testimony and shes saying that she dosent do any of those things (drugs &sleeping around) anymore. She never said anything about “coming out” as bisexual.

      Really wasn’t much information. No details about “how” she’d been with women. I respect your opinion, though. My opinion is that if seasoned believers took everything to the grave, new believers would have no one to learn from. I think her testimony may help someone else who has struggled with this issue, or who shares this past and has not forgiven herself.

    Shame on you Madam Noir! Since you obtained your information from another source, the likelihood of this being true is very slim. According to your information she shared that with a congregation in 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are now in 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Furthermore, if the woman shared that she did these things in the past before she truly gave her life to Christ what is the problem?

    Leave the woman alone! As a Christian I don’t judge her at all. I understand why as a preacher she opened up. Further, a lot of us Christians didn’t come to Christ sinless. Some of us have done far worse than her. I just thank God that once you are in Christ you are a new creation. The past is gone! And whatever you have done or will do, if you repent God forgives and forgets so who are you to bring this up?
    Moreover, the bible describes satan as the “accuser of the brethren”. He is constantly bringing accusations against the believers. I think it is a shame when people don’t realise that satan is using them as his agent to do his work (to accuse people that have been redeemed).N.B Christ is our defence attorney who died for our sins so our sins cannot be held against us. Juanita’s sins cannot be held against her. Your sins cannot be held against you if you have really given your life to Christ.
    Madam Noir stop allowing yourself to be used as the accuser of the Brethren!

    These are things that she did before she met Christ.. any “born again” believer has a story of how you were before you met Christ and how you were after you met Christ. I got saved on April 11th 2011, but my life before that was VERY different than what it is now. The power of the Gospel (understanding how far away you were from God yet He made a way through sending His son Jesus to die for you and take away all your sins) to transform your heart’s desires to the point where you don’t want to commit those sins is unbelievable. :) all her story does is show how forgiving, mericful and loving God is. He forgives all things at all times no matter how bad it is. What a Savior! :D

    It really doesn’t matter what I think. If she say’s it’s in the past, then that’s where it belongs. We ALL have a past or two. It took a lot of guts to share that. How many of us would do the same if it were one of us? If God forgives her, and I’m sure He does, then who am I to cast stones? Thank God for His never ending MERCY! There but for the Grace of God go I. Hallelujah to Jesus!

    And this is the same woman who told the world that Bishop Weeks (her exhusband) was gay! And the same woman who tried to fight for women abuse, after she got caught being abused. Some people need to just get out the pulpit trying to give others advice and guidance!

    like i said when i heard about this yesterday, WHO? and why is this such a hot topic? She’s human, we all make errors in life so to those whose panties are in a bunch: remove the wedgie and keep it movin!
