That’s a Lot of Loving: Black Men Have Almost 4 Times As Many Sexual Partners As Black Women

Two new surveys give a look into the sexual minds of African-Americans — such as that 60 percent consider themselves adventurous in the bedroom and over 70 percent are open to using a vibrator with a partner during sex.

The findings were released as part of a Trojan Charged Sex Life Survey of 3,000 Americans nationwide, including ten major cities.

More results among the African-Americans surveyed:

  • One in three say the most exciting thing they’ve done is have sex more than three times in one day.
  • Nearly one-third of both men and women have had sex outdoors.
  • More than half of believe things need to be more exciting in the bedroom.
  • Sixty percent are in committed, monogamous relationships.
  • The top ways those surveyed charged things up included spontaneous sex, having sex someplace different and talking dirty.

    This whole conversation is just silly. Who are all the people these men are sleeping with, if women are only sleeping with a couple men? Unless we are including men who sleep with other men, and even still, there’s probably not 4 times as many men sleeping with men. So I don’t see how this is statistically possible. Women and men must, on average, have the same amount of sexual partners. This is the only thing that makes sense.
    The men polled are lying up, as often men do, and the women polled are lying down, as women often do.

    This study is propaganda to make black men look bad. This study is not scientifically proven to be true but just people answering some simple questions. Men in general have a tendency of overstating the amount of partners they sleep with and women are the opposite they understate the amount of men they’ve sex with,again propaganda.My questions is why single out black men?

        Black men are the most sexually active out of all ethnic groups of men and white women are the most sexually active out of all ethnic groups of women. Their is a study on it. Don’t believe me google it. *shrugs* I really don’t care

Are you 100% certain without a doubt that the study is even accurate?Do you have empirical evidence to support your claim?Are the researchers observing every time black men and white women have sex in the bedroom taking notes.

      It’s not the frequency of sex that caused the high HIV and STD rates, it’s the lack of protection and education regarding safe sex.

            If a women claims to have pride in her body and what others do to it, then more should do a better job at protecting it. Especially if women tend to wind up with the shorter end of the stick regarding unprotected sex.

            I think it’s a very, very, very small percentage of women that get STDs from their HUSBANDS. I’m sure it happens, but MOST women are catching something from some dude that probably doesn’t even like them that much or has no intentions of marrying them at all. I mean they aren’t even engaged or anything.

              @Nope – google married women and HIV…Married women are at high risk for HIV. This is how all the moralizing has really messed up AIDS prevention in the black community. Get your facts straight and realize that educating men plays a huge part in HIV prevention.

                Being at “high risk” is one thing, but married women still are not the highest represented. MOST people in general that have HIV/AID are not married. Don’t get upset just because I happened to mention women. Everything critical isn’t an attack.

            I agree that a marriage certificate is not a condom. My point is that most of those infected DON’T have a marriage certificate to begin with. Married people aren’t the only ones, nor the majority of people with HIV/AIDS.
