Not Having It: The Dream Claps Back at Christina Milian’s Bad Parenting Claim

You knew Christina Milian couldn’t get off the hook that easily for the comments she made about The Dream being a less than ideal father.

During a convo with Philly’s Hot 107.9‘s Q Deezy, The Dream was asked if he wanted to address the allegations that he doesn’t spend any time with his daughter. The singer/songwriter initially said “Nope” but then added that he has emailed his ex-wife several times (about stepping up to the plate, I assume) and she hasn’t emailed him back at all.

The host went on to discuss Christina’s recent signing to Cash Money which prompted The Dream to say that his ex has turned into a bit of a different person since singing her YMCMB deal but then said he wouldn’t elaborate further because there are kids involved.

“If I wanted to say everything I want to say it would be devastating….If you have a problem with somebody you pick up the phone and call them. If they don’t do that, then you know it’s about something else and I can’t do nothing about that.”

Perhaps since his kids can’t read yet—at least his daughter with Christina—he held his tongue much less on Twitter with these cryptic messages that echo some of the same sentiments he expressed on the radio show.

Not one to let her child’s father get the last word, Christina Milian had something else to say herself. She took to Twitter as well with these thoughts:

Don’t listen to lies from LIARS. I wish sometimes I could really let everyone know what I know.

StayBlessed‬. I got God on my side. All I need.

What u r reading is only a taste of the trash in my email. I have them all saved. Eventually u stop responding to stupidity. & stop caring

If I may play Devil’s advocate just a bit, I’m with The Dream on if you have a problem with someone you pick up the phone rather than put them on blast in an interview. However, no one should have to call you to tell you to be a parent. These two…

    My daughter’s father is not in her life and barely pays his child support. One day I made the decision to walk away from his constant bickering, negative comments and focused on being the Better Parent for our daughter. Maturity Christina, your daughter needs one mature parent to raise her, don’t worry about what he does not provide.

    Clearly these two people need to grow up, don’t you both understand that you have a child and this could hurt her in the long run. when she sees that mommy and daddy can not get along two or more things can happen. First when she gets older she can look at boys or men and think it is okay to treat anybody with disrespect, and secondly when she gets school age there are bullies who won’t care who she is or who her parents are and hurt her. So both of you two need to stop all the madness and stop being selfish and think about her well-being. If this man or woman cannot spend time with their child then it is their lost not the childs, just be their for her and move on. CAUSE ONE THINGS FOR SURE, GOD DOES NOT LIKE UGLY WHEN IT COMES HIS CHILDREN THAT YOU BOTH WERE BLESS WITH!!!! Just Saying.

    People who act like social media is a therapy session get on my nerves. People who publicly talk about their child’s parent are very immature & is just as wrong as the parent they are bashing. Its easy to call The Dream a bad parent or agree w/ Christina b/c he doesn’t post a bunch of pics of his kids everyday. The Dream should have took the high road & not have sub tweeted. He should just go to court, set up visitation & end it like that. I’ve seen pics of The Dream & Violet together in LA online before. So i don’t think he’s absent in the kid life, i just don’t think he’s spending as much time as Christina may want. Idk, they both need to shut it & go to parenting class. They are embarrassing their daughter

      Oh & I remember a lil while ago they were tweeting each other about going into the studio & doing music together, so i think something personal happened between them & its not necessarily about their daughter but about something deeper. The whole signing to YMCMB is a lil weird, being that Wayne & the Dream share a baby mother. So him saying Christina has changed, could have something to do w/ it…

I mean she was childish for going out and publicly complaining about this since her child is involved but he pretty much said “I mean she should’ve told me she wanted me to be a dad. And both need to grow up and act like they are raising a child together–all this public drama makes them both look bad. SN: Choosing to have a child with a man who already has multiple children and time to make you his entire world is a sign…one she chose to ignore.
