Lil Scrappy: When ‘Keeping It Real” Goes Wrong

Someone take the mic from Lil Scrappy, please.  The “Love & Hip-Hop: ATL” star was on “TMZ Live” earlier this week to likely to promote the show; but the conversation apparently turned to Frank Ocean and his “coming out story.”  Scrappy showed his support by saying, “I’m glad that he came out … so all the real women that love to mess with real men, straight men, we can keep the AIDS situation down, you feel me?”  He continued on with “Homosexuality is a doorway to AIDS, scientifically.”  There’s so much wrong with the statement – even if what he said wasn’t how he meant to say it – that it is hard to know where to start. First, are you not a real man if you aren’t a straight man?  Second, are straight men going to really keep the AIDS epidemic down?  I could go on and on but…I won’t.

      Ray Allen can take a paycut he doesn’t have many years left anyway so you may as well get some rings on your way out.

      D-Wade- I don’t believe in home wreckers. A woman can only do what a man allows her to.

        Im really not into the technicalities of whom allows what. Like I stated I’m not a fan of home wreckers. She decided to walk into a house while it was being occupied. I’m talking about her not him. I.also stated that I love black love.

    There is no one in this world that does not want too be loved and appreciated and if Ray Allen didn’t get that form the Celtics then he had every right to go where love and appreciation is shown which happens too be the Heat so I don’t feel that he is a traitor he simply wants the best for him and his family even if it did mean making less money for money in itself can not buy or bring one total happiness so I wish him nothing but the best.

    Frank Ocean has more fans after coming out then Lil scrappy did during his fail of a rap career so Lil scrappy needs to take a seat.

          I’m ecstatic that you thought it was clever. I wasn’t trying to be “clever.” That “have a seat” phrase sounds redundant I’m still trying to figure out the meaning to that overly used phrase.

    As to Morgan Freeman what he said is correct. Our president Brarack Obabma is a mixed race man. You have to acknowledge that his mother is white. So that makes him mixed. Personally if I was both races I would be offended if a person tried to exclude one of my races. He’s just as much his fathers child as his mother. True he looks more black then white. If I passed him on the street I wouldnt imagine him to be mixed right off. But the truth is the truth.

      The president doesn’t deny his Caucasian side. Never have. I think it depends on the person. Mariah Carey is also mixed but she announced that she’s black.

      It is what it is I guess. I’m sure I’m mixed with a plethora of things but I see black when I look in the mirror

    Although the delivery of scrappy’s comment could have been better what he said makes sense. These men need to stop the DL behavior. According to the CDC men having sex with men or MSMs as the CDC term it account for 61% of new HIV infections. They are another reason why black women have one of the highest infection rates of any other demographic in the country. If you want to be gay that is fine, but don’t lie to a woman and place her health at risk!!

    What scrappy said was he glad that he isn’t on the dl bc black women have the high HIV rate. Also what I got was real men as being confident in your sexuality and not pretending.
