Momma Don’t Play That! Mom Interrupts Son’s Robbery Attempt By Snatching His Toy Gun

Yes, you read that right. A Mississippi mom is being called a “little hero” after she botched her own son’s armed robbery attempt by grabbing his toy gun.

According to ABC News, 22-year-old Roy Mitchell, came to a D’s One Stop Food Mart with his mom, went inside the store, grabbed a bag of Doritos, then pointed his “gun” at the clerk demanding money, and the entire incident was caught on surveillance tape.

Before the clerk could hand anything over, Roy’s mom, who had come into the store behind him, grabbed the gun out of his hands! She apologized to the the clerk and told her that the gun was fake and that Roy was just playing around. She begged the clerk not to call the police and she pushed her son out of the store.

Of course, the clerk called 911 anyway and when police tracked them down 20 minutes later, they found the toy pistol still in the car.

They arrested Roy and now he is in jail being held on a $300,000 bond facing one charge of attempted robbery. As for his mother? Police assistant chief Chris Butts told ABC News that the young man’s mother was a ‘little hero’ for confiscating the gun.

He said: “If the clerk had a gun it could have been real messy.”

Not only did this man attempt to rob a gas station with a bogus gun, he did it in the vicinity of his mother. Who does that? Now, with his face all over the news, jail is probably the best place for him and his humiliation right now.

Although I think having to live with his mother after that incident would probably be a much harsher punishment.

    The guy is a grown man and I don’t feel bad for him. The gun was fake, but how was the clerk supposed to know? He put that person in a terrible situation. Lock him up and that will teach him not to go preying on innocent people….no sympathy for him whatsoever. He will only have to post 10% of the bond, so I don’t feel bad for him.

    $3000,000 is too much, but he was dumber than a box of rocks, what in the hell made him want or feel the need to embarrass his own mother like that, good for mother she should have popped him upside his head for being disrespectful and still playing with toy guns. I wished every mom who had a kid that did stupid stuff would just go old school on them.

    I was going to say that he probably lived with her, and that it’s time to put him out before he draws her into some trouble. But he’s going to get a small place of his own now. She may have protected him from getting in trouble a little too long.

    I saw this on the news the other night and they were laughing at him. They said, “he is so grounded.” Mom pulled him out by the ear, too. Embarrassing situation for both of them.
    How are you gonna go around robbing people with a fake gun? You can get blasted for real for some ish like that. They don’t know it’s fake. What if he did that in one of those Koeran stores they would’ve shot him down. Very very dumb negro. How does the mom explain that to her coworkers?

    Even though it was fake the clerk thought it was real and feared for his life. I know someone that did this very thing and was given 20 years in prison. People need to stop doing dumb stuff and being confused or angry with the consequences.
