The gossip fiends are getting their lives with the break up but some couples under the same Hollywood glare are still going strong. Denzel and Paulette Washington, Will and Jada Smith, Jay Z and Beyoncé are just some of those standard bearers.

    I don’t see Iman and David Bowie together enough to even think of them as a couple. I hope Steadman and Oprah finally get married. L.L. Cool J. and his wife make the perfect couple, they look so much alike; and his wife favors Shaquille O’neal’s ex-wife Shaunie. I never bought into Mariah’s and NIck’s marriage.

    I remember when President Obama was running for office the first time around and was interviewed by someone at BET about his mixed race heritage in conjunction with choosing a Black wife. The first thing out of his month was something to the effect of, “Look at her, have you seen my wife?”

    I want THAT!

    But seriously, regardless of your personal stance on his policies and presidency thus far, they have brought and demonstrated so much positivity, Black love, and commitment to the White House and the American people. We could all learn from them about how to support our partners to be their best authentic selves and get to the goal that was always meant for them.
