Uh Oh: LisaRaye Already Has a Problem With ‘Hollywood Exes’

A lot of you out there aren’t too keen on VH1′s latest reality TV show, “Hollywood Exes” because of the idea of these women using someone else’s fame (their ex-husbands’) to gain their own, but LisaRaye has a problem with it for a totally different reason. Her reasoning isn’t really new though because while all of the ladies, and even the show’s producers, have promised that this will be a wholesome, feel-good show, the preview for the entire series shown during the first episode shows there may be a ratchet moment akin to the mess we saw on “Basketball Wives” this season. And to that, LisaRaye said:

What she’s referring to is a scene where Prince’s ex gets a little crunk with Jose Canseco’s. Customarily, a drink is thrown (I’m pretty sure that’s a requirement in every VH1 cast member’s contract) and then it looks as though things get even more physical. When I saw that preview, I definitely had a similar reaction, like really, Mayte, and I was about to quickly blast her for being way too old for that until I found out she’s 38. I mean, clearly she’s still way too old to have that type of on-camera reaction with a real life friend (Hello Evelyn) but I didn’t realize she was the same age as the BBW crew so I guess birds of a feather throw down on TV together.

Right now, it’s not clear what all went down but I’m still sitting in the LisaRaye WTF camp. Although Jessica Canseco could probably use a swift pop in the mouth every now and then, let’s not do this—for a number of reasons.

    Ummm…she’s jealous cause she’s not on the show. But isn’t she the reason the best character on Single Ladies (Stacey Dash) left???? Didn’t they have a fight on the set (But now they’re trying to cover it up) So umm yea, hush and let the show have it’s run, a little cat fight never hurt anyone!

    I watched the first episode and thought it would be a nice show, the ladies seemed very positive, then the 2nd show I began to hear snide remarks and fatty comments so the preview of them arguing didn’t surprise me. I mean it is on VH1 so we couldn’t expect so much!

    Although I don’t agree with the idea of these women starring in a show because of their failed relationships, I absolutely love Nicole and Andrea. Nicole exudes class. I wonder if Rocsi from 106 & Park watches….

    Sounds like she’s hating to me. I find odd too that of all the ratchet shows, she singles this one out. I think she really wants to be a cast member considering she’s a former “1st Lady’ as she likes to remind everyone. *rolls eyes* The show is actually pretty good and so far, classy, something LisaRaye is not.

      Yes, I noticed it too. Especially when Sheree was in that picture hugging Will when she was younger. They could pass for sisters or first cousins.

        Actually, I thought those older pics of Sheree and Will looked a lot like Jada and Will. You know how some men like a particular look and stick to it!

    Wait, Lisa Raye never spoke out about Basketball wives, now she has an opinion? The show is not so bad so far, even when Jessica got out of line, the other women handled it well. So, I don’t know what she’s talking about. I will watch it than single ladies with mediocre acting. She needs to focus on improving her acting skills.

      I see where you’re going but notice she said “Another show with…” this seems to show that she is sick of shows such as BBW with this sort of behavior and is speaking out against the fact that there’s another one.

    I completely agree!
    It feels like we’re in a age that allows anyone to become famous simply for being someone’s Ex, mistress or just outrageous. Reality tv, I will admit can be entertaining after a long day but its getting a little redundant now, to the point I don’t really like to watch TV.

    My thing is this…WHY are these women making a show off being an ex? A few of them are married to someone new. My husband would be offended if I were ever considering being on a show called anything with ex in it…as would I if he did. When you are remarried, your ex becomes your past unless you have kids together or something, but you should be known as your current’s wife..not your past’s ex. It’s ridiculous to me.

    If LisaRaye didn’t have her father’s $, she’d need to throw a drink or 2 to stay relevant and get paid. Instead of knocking another woman’s hustle, she needs to sign up for acting classes
