Halle became the first black woman to win the Oscar for Best Leading Actress. It was a pinnacle in her career but in 2000, before all that, she was starring in her own personal drama. Halle was indicted for leaving the scene of a hit and run after her SUV collided with another car. Halle reported the altercation at the hospital and the crash victim initiated a civil lawsuit that was settled out of court. However, Halle’s initial decision to leave the scene of the accident without saying anything (along with her alleged temper) made her a joke on late night talk shows, in magazines, and was what first fueled the ‘Halle Scary’ meme.

    TECHNICALLY Lebron wasn’t wrong–the man had a decision to make and he made it. But I can understand why fans in Cleveland were upset. It was kind of like telling his long-term pregnant girlfriend he has something important to tell her precisely @8pm at her family reunion and when everyone gathers around he announces he’s leaving her for the hot girl around the corner…..the way he MADE the decision was tacky. Folks don’t forget tacky too easy.

    I never got to see the mary commercial but I saw the beckham and steven tyler commercial and there is nothing controversial about those. I understand the mary one was inappropriate. either way, mary should have owned it instead of lying and pretending like she wasn’t aware of what was going on.
