Usher

This dude is killing me.  He won’t cut his hair, he doesn’t shave often and he’s releasing music that has us all confused.  It all started with the Here I Stand album. It had a couple of good tracks on it but nothing totally stood out. We let it go because he’d gotten married and he was focused on his personal life…we understood. But then there was Raymond v. Raymond and we got concerned.  The entire album was all over the place but you know what? He was in the midst of his marriage being over so…we gave another pass. Now, with the release of Looking 4 Myself, we might have to accept that this new europop Usher is who we have to deal with from now on.  Gone are the Confessions and 8701 days where he not only had straight up R&B songs but he had clear Pop songs and we loved them all.  That Usher hasn’t been with us for three albums and he’s not putting out music for anyone who has grown up with him.
