*Update* Keshia Knight Pulliam Says She’s NOT Joining the Real Housewives of Atlanta

The rumor mill was at work once again. And this time the word was that former Cosby kid, Keshia Knight Pulliam, might join the cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Let’s all take a moment to breath a collective sigh of relief. I know reality tv can do wonders for a career; but honestly, what actress has gone the reality route and then transitioned to an even bigger or more successful acting career? (I’ll wait…)

If Keshia wants to still be taken seriously as an actress this is one move she should probably avoid and we’re glad she knows that. I didn’t want to see any type of ratchet behavior that might make me think any less of Keshia. I can’t take another embarrassing representation of black women on tv.

*Update*: Keshia tweeted not too long ago that this is indeed just a rumor.

This is what she had to say:

I am NOT joining the cast of RHOA this season… Next season or any season. I honestly don’t know where this rumor is coming from!! Pls RT

    i do not understand why she is still single. I see her in the clubs out here in ATL like every other thirsty girl in ATL, however she is educated, beautiful, and has a job. WHY, WHY, WHY, is she still single?

    She’s not a HW, but neither is Sheree, NeNe (since she’s divorced), Kim or Kandi….RHOA is pure exploitation because at this point VH1 doesn’t care if they aren’t housewives. Just get on tv and act stupid.

    I agree. She is not a wife. I wish that these foolish reality shows would stop putting in them who is not actually wives. What called the show RHOA. Now,from what I last watched it is only three who are married right now. Cynthia. Phaedra and Kim are the ones that are married. She should not entangled herself up in a bunch of foolishness, cussing and fighting just to get paid.

    I really hope she doesn’t do this. I know life is tough in the entertainment industry for someone who’s claim to fame was being a child star, but reality t.v. is usually the next step in a downward spiral for his/her career.
