MN Exclusive: Teedra Moses Dishes on Her Faithful Following, Finding Love, and Rick Ross

June 20th, 2012 - By MN Editor

If you want a blueprint on how to solidify a respected music career without being a household name, look up Teedra Moses. The very talented songstress has built a very faithful following from only one album and five mixtapes. The BOSS himself Rick Ross loved her music so much (and respected that she worked with one of his favorite artists Raphael Saadiq) that he recruited her into the Maybach Music Group. Since dropping the career defining Complex Simplicity in 2004, Moses tells us that she’s been touring, raising her twin sons, and working on her new album with MMG entitled The Lioness.

Check out the riveting interview and let us know what you think. Bet you’ll learn something new about the Ms. Moses.

I just caught on to Teedra Moses like a few months ago. I LOVE the song that she sung in the beginning of the interview.

She is a great talent and I’m glad that she continued to pursue her love for music despite (clearly) not being promoted that well for her own albums.

I wish her the best. She seems like an artist (i.e. Musiq & Jill Scott) whose cd/concert I would actually purchase….great personality too…very relateable (sp??).

I wish the interview was a little bit better researched so as to ask more relevant questions…To ask what she’s been doing since “Complex Simplicity” is the same as asking: “Who are you, again?” She has a banger called “R U 4Real?” why are y’all discussing 8 year old material. I love Teedra Moses…I just wanted more. #ThatIsAll
