It’s Complicated

You’ve got the typical bad boy played by Alec Baldwin, whose cheating on his new wife with his ex wife, Meryl Streep who is somehow spun to be completely void of any blame (although, she is technically a home-wrecker) and the sweet, humble, wouldn’t-hurt-a-fly Steve Martin, vying for Meryl’s attention. Somehow, after discovering Meryl’s character has been sleeping with a MARRIED man, Martin’s character gives her a second chance. Never in real life would a stable, sane, and moral man (like Martin’s character) so easily date a home wrecker.

Under the Tuscan Sun is based on a true story. So at least some of it is realistic.

this is by far, the stupidest article I never finished reading!

*shrug* if these situations were plausible, i’d still be with my first love working toward marriage and babies. . .

Women please stop calling other women homewreckers smh. Men wreck their own homes. or maybe the home was wrecked before another women came into the picture. That term is just so ridiculous especially coming from women. we never blame the man we say ” he just being a man” no he just being a dog or he could just be over the old woman but don’t blame the new women she doesn’t owe anybody anything

      Thank you for stating this!

Truth is stranger than fiction…these scenarios happen everyday in real life. Just because you don’t know of it happening to anyone you know doesn’t mean it’s improbable.

I Love you! Finally a list that seriously made sense!! Now do one about why every rapper had to put out some hood movie to show how hard they were? a la State Property

I think the movie, The Best Man should have been on this list. That was unrealistic!!! In reality, that wedding would have never had gone down and even if it did, the marriage would last a month, tops! There would have been people in jail and in the hospital. Also, him proposing to his gf and she accepting? Um no! In reality, she would’ve walked up to Nia Long’s character and smacked fire and prolly would have tore that whole place up! IMO, i think the bride and the groom were in love with each other. That movie was obsessed with making Mia this pure virginal princess and she was really a scandalous freak that smashed the homies! <3 the movie tho!!!

i meant the bride and the best man were in love with each other

I agree with everything except It’s Complicated. Alec’s new wife was creeping with him when him and Meryl were married. So she basically just got karma. I mean it’s still wrong, but I think in real life, Steve might have understood a little because they were just dating at the time.

Really, I don’t believe relationships are as black and white as this articles seems to make it, but then again I have no way of knowing how every relationship since the dawn of time has ended up lol

I totally agree. The other movies had great points but the commentary on It’s Complicated leaves out the vital information. The situation was actually complicated and understandable. Also some diversity in the movies would not be bad. Love and basketball, poetic justice, the brothers, think like a man…..

I agree, it was boring. After the Dawson’s Creek page I just scrolled down to the comments section.
