The Plot Thickens: George Zimmerman’s Wife Arrested For Lying Under Oath

Both George Zimmerman and his wife, Shellie, have found themselves behind bars because of Trayvon Martin’s killing. Nearly two weeks ago a judge revoked George Zimmerman’s bond after it was brought to the court’s attention that the couple actually had more money than they claimed due to donations George received related to the case. The judge told George he had 48 hours to return to custody and now his wife has been arrested on a charge of perjury.

Seminole County deputies took Shellie Zimmerman, 25, into custody about 3:30 pm yesterday after they were informed by the office of State Attorney Angela Corey that a warrant had been issued for her arrest. The order charged George’s wife with knowingly making false statements during the April 20 bond hearing in which she and her husband failed to mention they had raised at least $135,000 in a PayPal account.

Shellie was booked into John E. Polk Correctional Facility and later released on a $1,000 bond but George’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, said his client is still concerned about his wife.

“Now that she’s being charged with a crime he’s worried about her,” O’Mara said, adding that George is concerned because she is “out in the public eye.”

He should be just as concerned about himself in jail. Yesterday the court released Seminole County Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester’s order revoking George’s bond, and though he’s pushing for a new bond hearing, the odds of him being released again aren’t in his favor. Judge Lester said:

“There are several factors that weigh against his release … Most importantly, though, is the fact that he has now demonstrated that he does not properly respect the law or the integrity of the judicial process.”

We knew that from the night of Trayvon’s murder, but at least things seem to be moving in the right direction. What do you think about Shellie’s arrest?

What bothers me the most is the fact that there are people who actually approve of what GZ did to Trayvon and donated $135,000 for his legal defense!!!!! Seriously??? You’re happy and supportive that this man murdered an innocent kid??? So much so that you’d help him with his expenses? WTF is wrong with you people?!?! Everyone who donated should be ashamed! What if it were your innocent son GZ murdered? Grown folks alright with a kid being murdered..SMDH…

I would also like to add the fact that the money raised by GZ was TWICE the amount raised by Trayvon’s family. This just goes to show that George Zimmerman has a lot of supporters out there!

My grandparents always said what is done in the dark ALWAYS comes to light. I understand that a wife may want to be “ride or die” for her man, but when your man kills a youg man for not being able to take a one-two to the dome for trying to subdue the young man so he can be a “hero” by apprehending a young man FOR MINDING HIS BUSINESS, you back yourself out of the situation! His credibility is shot with the justice system and she should be locked up at the end of the month when she has her court appearance.
For them to even think that they could get away with speaking in “code” to fool the court was stupidity at it’s best. These people lied about a so called self defense, lied about $, hid a passport (when your wife tells you that she found your other passport, you dont say put it in the safe deposit box, you tell her to give it your attorney), and have even lied and kept information from their attorney in the process because they like to think of themselves as smarter than everyone else and above the law! Lock him up, lock her up, and forward those donated funds to Trayvon’s family if/when they file that civil law suit!

You don’t know that he was “minding his business” you were not there! MY OPINION your whole statement is ridiclous!
