Pick Three: Who Should Be Kicked Off Basketball Wives?

If you watch VH1′s  Basketball Wives reunion episodes, it may be the last time you see at least three of the ‘wives’.

If not, executive producer Shaunie O’Neal says she is out.

She told Insider.com that she doesn’t want to go back and “has no problem walking away from the franchise.”

From Insider:

Asked when it’s time to say when, Shaunie replies, “I say when right before it’s time to sign on the dotted line … [at the] end of summer.” She adds, “I won’t take responsibility for what it has turned into.”

Shaunie says she is worried about getting physically hurt, and sick of the drama and of taking the blame, as she’s been widely criticized for not doing enough to stop the outrageous behavior.

“It’s always going to be drama because it’s women together,” says Shaunie, “but I think the level of where it’s going is out of control and I do believe that certain ladies realize that and are taking responsibility.”

Still, the show’s executive producer tells Kevin exclusively that changes need to be made to the cast, and that means ejecting a few from “the game.”

“Three [from Miami],” says Shaunie. “Immediately. No questions asked. Not anything personal, just not where I’m trying to go. Not on the same page. … If I would like this franchise to keep going, yeah, three would have to go.”

Not sure where Shaunie is “trying to go” with Basketball Wives but it seems this show has been there and back. Good luck trying to tone it down! Doesn’t seem fair to pin the blame for this chaotic show solely on the cast members when, clearly, producers and editors are stirring up the drama we see on screen. But, then again, I guess Shaunie would know better than anyone who is at fault.

So which three do you think it will be? Do you agree that putting women together automatically means there will be “drama” as Shaunie says?

    she’s probably gonna get rid of kenya, jen, and royce but it should be tami, evelyn and suzie consider suzie starts all of the drama with her gossiping two faced self….tami has serious issues and evelyn is just loving the fame and job security because im not falling for this tough girl acted that wasnt in the earlier seasons. shaunie should get rid of herself because like royce said she’s a snake in the grass… and she’s always talking about the girls how tired she is of their interviews although she’s done quite a few herself. and how come she never had a problem with the drama when it was pulling ratings and making her pockets big but when sponsors drop and funding stop all of a sudden its a problem please.
    im over these girls anyway none of them are married the show should be called basketball groupies

    I do agree with her point that where there are women; especially women with very strong personalities as we see on this show there is bound to be drama. With that said the obvious ones that need to go are Tami Roman, Evenlyn Lozada and Suzie Ketcham. Hope she shocks us all and gets rid of those three.

    The comment about there being drama because it’s women together is bull. Laurie Ann Gibson’s show was females only and they were actually competing for money and none of them had any issues. I think Suzie, Tammy, and Evelyn need to go, but since they are Shaunie’s “friend’s” they aren’t going anywhere. The only one that is expendable is Suzie and her two faced self. Royce will be gone and so will Keisha, but I don’t think they really care cause they were both sick of the mess anyway. By the way did anyone catch Shaunie’s little snide comment about Jen’s lip gloss line on the beach? She’s just as bad as Tami ad Evelyn.

    Royce, Keisha and Jennifer don’t be fooled Shaunie go hard for Tami and Evelyn ratchett azz but I have a feeling after the backlash she might have to keep Jennifer. Jennifer got a damn army on twitter and I don’t think she knows it.

    She is going to get rid of Jen and Keisha for sure, she will try and say they were causing the drama because they upset her friends(money makers) Ev and Tami. Even though all the drama is caused by ghetto Ev and Tami. Shaq must have done a number on Shaunie because she is bitter and angry like crazy.

    I think Shaunie is wrong for implying that whenever a group of women get together there will be drama. Every program on television has to have an element of drama or else no one will watch, the problem is that these shows have taken it to a lower level than necessary. It’s not because it’s a bunch of women; it was done to get views…get money. The real question is how low the producers of the show are willing to go to get ratings?

    I don’t think Shaunie will get rid of none of them or walk away. As long as she is laughing her way to the bank of getting paid. As I stated again, people need to stop watching this show and not supporting any of these women. They are not going to stop being ignorant and having a foul mouth like Tami and Evelyn. Shaunie is to blame for the majority of this foolishness, as I said she sit there and watch and allow this foolishness and ignorant women get out of control. Please, please stop watching this show and do not support these women. I believe she knew these women prior to starting this foolishness on tv from back then somewhere when they were with these athletes. Of course women are going to disagree and and have conflict, you don’t resolve conflict by fighting, cussing, throwing drinks, bottles and acting ignorant. Evelyn and Tami are the Queens of being foolish and being ignorant and claim they are trying to change. I am not buying any of that. The only reason they are temporarily cleaning up their act for NOW is that they little money is at stake. Susie, the big mouth and the instigator always get stuff started and sit back and watch it explode. She need to go as well.

      What I don’t understand, other than you commenting about something you don’t feel should be supported rather than not paying attention at all, is why are people acting like these shows are the first shows on tv to show women being catty towards one another and seem stereotypical? Women have been characterized this way in Survivor, Big Brother, The Real Housewives of…, Real World, Road Rules, etc and all these shows predate BBW, some by literally decades and yet these particular women how haven’t even invented nor perfected the formula for crassness should be banned? I mean its trashy, but we shouldn’t treat this like its real life anyway, right?

        1st i wanna im a fan of the show but i can relate to ppl who dont support…the difference between those shows and this one is u dont typically see ppl fighting and throwing bottles and slapping and when u do you expect it example; mob wives, bad girls club the title lets you know what kind of show to expect. when you hear the word wives u think family. not only that, but they are predominantly black women on bbw meaning we already are fighting a war trying to make some ppl see that all black woman arent ignorant, ghetto and angry black women and then here we have this group of women feeding into a stereotype making it hard to defend…when ppl see bad girls club, big bro or the kardashians or whatever they dont say white women acting ignorant they say those girls, or young girls but when bbw is doing it they say “there goes those black girls acting ignorant” thats the difference….they make us look bad as a whole

          I agree . Its so sad that alot of our black women really think watching the show is a reality… I shake my head at the behavior and comments most of the time… We as ple hould know all hes shows are just what they are a upated show from Jerry Springer……….BBW needs to be done over or a serious overhaul with real classy women… who no how talk without fighting and throwing bottles,or trying to slap someone for no reason…

    Shaunie will not allow Evelyn or Tami to be cut – however Royce, Kesha and Suzi will get the pink slip. I think Kenya will get a pass she is (for the moment until her divorce is final) the only actual wife on the show.

    A lot of the drama could be gone by just getting rid of Suzie. If you look at the majority of the physical fights that occurred its been because Suzie ran back and told Tami what someone else had said. Get rid of Suzie. I honestly believe that Royce will be gone, because she doesn’t hang out with any of the women on the show. Evelyn has a spin off in the works so she should be gone. Keisha already said she’s not coming back. But I honestly believe that Suzie, Tami, and Evelyn need to go.
