CHINA’S LOVES
Summer Love: I want to cry now that summer is coming to an end. Jay-Z’s “Dear Summer” song said it best: you know how I do summer.
Fantasia Love: Just because…I think she could use some right now. Take care of yourself, lady!
AOL Black Voices Love: Another month, and another show with AOL’s Boyce Watkins…the show proved to be too much fun; can’t wait to post it for you to watch, mesdames 😉
Faith Evans Love: I’ll be interviewing her and a line-up of other fabulous women for MN, coming in September…so I guess autumn’s not so bad. I was born in autumn.

KWELI’S LOVES
Free Travel: Planning a weekend jaunt to the city from my home base of Staten Island, so I’m going to do something I rarely do: take a ferry ride into Manhattan. It’s free, it only takes about 20 minutes from shore to shore, and you get a nice breeze and view of the NYC skyline.
Modern Minimalism: I’m drooling over and wanting more trends–especially when it comes to fashion this season–but in an effort to be more sleek and budget-conscious I’m paring down my shopping list. At the prompting of BK Nos Boutique owner, I’m going to stick to a neutral palate for clothing and pops of sassy will come form accessories like shoes, boots, bags and jewelry. Let’s see how this goes.
Hair Care: I have extremely dry hair so my local beauty supply store recommended Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream. It’s a medium-thick cream that smells delicious and though I haven’t been using it for long, my hair seems to be loving it.
Cooking Convenience: Love cooking, but I hate thinking up ideas seven nights a week. Stop & Shop has these vacuum packed frozen fish packets that are healthy options, convenient and even a recipe on the back of the pack. This week, I tried the Yellowfin Ahi Tuna and their Caribbean recipe, yum.

DANIELLE’S LOVES
Club Love: I’m not too familiar with the NYC party scene (I’m a bit of a homebody), but went to Greenhouse the other day for a listening session. The exclusive club, curiously decorated in leaves and LCD lights, had an awesome DJ– none other than Madame Solange Knowles.
Paradise Love: I knew this would happen. Putting together the “Best Vacation Spots” piece, I fell in love with this photo of Kos, Greece. Now I can’t stop fantasizing about traveling there. Seriously need a getaway!
Album Love: I keep hearing my girl, Jazmine Sullivan’s new single “Holding You Down” (my jam) everywhere. Her track list was leaked today and the album sounds like it should be another hit.
Weather Love: I am a die-hard summer baby. I love the hot sun on my toes as I walk around in my Havaianas sandals. So, needless to say this week’s rainy weather was kind of a bummer– made me think summer was ending immediately. Luckily, the sun is out again and stronger than ever. Should be a gorgeous weekend!
