Will You Tune In? Love and Hip-Hop ATL Supertrailer Is Here

It took a long time for me to close my mouth after I watched the Supertrailer for “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta.” It wasn’t so much that the series looks like it’s going to be too ratchet for me, there’s just a lot of hood countriness and overt infidelity going on in the dirty that left me baffled at a few of these women and what they appear to be tolerating. That, and the trailer lightweight looks like a movie, leading one to believe a heavy percentage of the show is scripted, as you’ve probably already suspected.

I really can’t point out any of the characters in the show because they truly are unknown—besides Lil’ Scrappy and Rasheeda to some extent—but from what I can tell there are a lot of aspiring artists in this series and, of course, a stripper, who says she’s not going back on the pole. SMH, sorry for laughing.

I almost said I didn’t see any physical altercations, but Scrappy may have had a busted, bloody mouth in one scene at the hands of another character but that all remains to be seen. Anyway, just check out he trailer and draw your own conclusions about whether this is worthy of your viewership.

The premiere hits June 18 at 8pm on Vh1. Will you watch?

Are you serious? This must be in the dirty part of the ATL. I am very happy that there are several others, including myself that plan on completely ignoring this foolishness. What a damn shame!

  • quest

  • Pivyque

They are doing too much. I recognize K.Michelle and Rasheeda but everyone else gets the blank face. I do want to see what K.Michelle is up to. She is the one that said the guy beat her. Well, I think that’s her lol At any rate, i’d love to know what’s going on with her but I don’t want to watch because I don’t want all that extra drama.

  • IllyPhilly

LOL, yeah I thought two of the girls was one person until I saw the end and they showed everybody’s names!

  • MzCali

I’m not going to lie that seems like it’s going to be good. I know people are going to say ohhh this sets black women back, but a few women don’t define the hundred on millions of black women on this planet. What they do definitely doesn’t define who I am as a black women. I seen Real Housewives of OC and NYC and they are just as rachet them so hey. I will be using this as my weekly entertainment.

    • bluekissess

Those women aren’t jumping on tables like monkeys

      • MzCali

Hey I say let them do it. Like I said, what they do don’t define who I am as a woman. I after I turn off the tv I’m still going to conduct myself as I normally do. Them acting like buffoons is merely entertainment for me.

        • bluekissess

Buffoons exactly what the whites call us. Jig and jive for a dollar right? Ridiculous

          • GoddessAmongYou

Are you a buffoon? Is your mother, sister, daughter, etc? If not then WHO GIVES A F**K what some random white person might think about you because of some show. Guess what? If a white person is stupid enough to look at a TV show in this day and age and go “Hmm, I think ALL BLACK WOMEN must act as stupid as these heifers on TV” then they’re probably already inclined to think of you as a buffoon anyway. People nowadays put too much emphasis on what someone MIGHT think of them because of a show. My mom always told me “You can’t please everyone so there’s no need to try.” Just do you like you always do and if someone looks at you differently or treats you differently because of something they saw on a “reality” show look at them like they’re the buffoons and K.I.M. it up (that’s Keep It Moving) if you didn’t know.

but they are flipping them over, like that one chick on the NJ cast of housewives.

  • adrienne michelle

YES! a bunch of black women making complete fools of themselves, baby daddy drama, and carrying on like high-schoolers who WOULDN’T wanna watch that? *sarcasm*

    • bluekissess

      I wouldn’t *realist*

  • CA Pullen

It is really ashamed that black women (and other women as well) will stoop to this in order to get paid. It is nothing wrong with earning money honestly and legally, but, being degrading, cussing, fighting, throwing drinks, and acting a fool does not look good for us. What is this foolishness teaching our young black ladies of the future generations on communication and conflict resolution? Fighting, cussing and acting a fool to resolve disagreements. The quickest way to make money is by degrading and fighting each other. You don’t even hardly see an men fighting and doing this kind of foolishness. They just sit back and laugh at us black women destroying ourselves on television and sadly they let these executives flash $$$ in their faces and they agree to do. It is really a shame it comes to this. Then you have these guys cheating and sleeping around on some of the women that are involved in. It is really, really sad and they don’t even give a care. It seems like is all about the money, making it rain, popping bottles, and all this other foolishness.

    • bluekissess

I think it teaches us that mother’s need to be the example not VH1. It teaches us that father’s need to school daughters that no stand up man will not tolerate that mess

    • LADYREALITY

Change the channel. I’m watching with the rest of the WORLD

  • bluekissess

Viacom is really laughing at us while they hop on private jets, travel the world, put there kids through college and spoil there wives. The whites are in there houses while the slaves are still picking cotton. I thought it is 2012? What people would do for a dollar. SMH

    • Common Cent$

Sadly Mona Scott a BLACK woman is the creator of this show just like Shaunie O’Neal is the creator of bbw so don’t try and put this all on white people they are the ones we should be putting to task over this nonsense.

  • RedButterfly81

No, I’ve got better things to watch, like the static scramble thingy on my TV. If I wanna see ratcheted acting sistas, I’ll go to the hood clubs.

  • CA Pullen

No. I will not be watching this foolishness.

  • http://twitter.com/MsRedboneBrite Tee Elyse

“Reality” TV is my guilty pleasure, so yes, I’ll be watching! This show looks like it’s going to be full of juicy drama & have plenty of stories on the blogs!

    • bluekissess

It’s a conspiracy. Everyone gets paid but the consume

    • Nikki S

I want to see because I actually enjoyed the original AT FIRST!!! Also, I will like to see what Stevie J(Eve’s Ex) is up to these days. Apparently nothing if he is on this and cheating. I enjoy quality reality shows, when it becomes ratchet, then I will no longer tune in.
