MN Exclusive: Kesha Nichols Dishes on Tami’s Apology, Dating a Show Producer, and How Editing Works on Reality TV

June 7th, 2012 - By MN Editor

Although Kesha Nichols has recently announced that she won’t be returning to Basketball Wives next season, it’s clear that she certainly has a lot of other options. Although the dancer was a victim of bullying by Tami Roman this season, it seemed that Nichols came out on top with nationwide support for an anti-bullying campaign. It was certainly the most controversial season of Basketball Wives yet.

Nichols stopped by the Madame Noire offices in New York to clear up dating rumors, weigh in on the fairness of editing, and if she really accepts Tami’s apology.

Tammy is a verbally abusive BULLY who needs her mouth washed out with soap and her tongue soaked in acid. Her verbally abusive behavior is not entertaining–its foolish!!! Both Tammy and Evelyn are a bunch of loud-mouth violent bullies who deserve to be sitting in jail. Keisha is too good of a person to be on that show.

Kesha, I wish you the all the best. You have a great head on your shoulders. Let it roll off your back.

  • Just sayin

I totally agree that they took it too far this season but on the other hand when people start talking take them off the air is wrong there’s all type of sex and violence on t.v from all races but as soon as a black women does it’s completely wrong snooki and the rest of them fools humping an kissing each other fall out drunk at noon the mob wives cussing an fighting each other talking about getting people wacked but that o.k that’s entertainment an america loves them SO BLACK WOMEN YOU WILL BE SORRY NO GOOD HOODRATS AN THEY WILL BE LOVED

Sigh, without delving into or rehashing the bullying I will simply say this: by not forgiving Tami and moving on (not focusing on apologies and when they were said and how) Kesha is only hurting herself. Dr. Phil or Deepak said this on Oprah once and it has stuck with me, carrying a grudge and not forgiving someone is like you drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Forgive. Period. Stop being mad about it, move on and get busy living. Talk to a therapist do whatever, but harboring anger is dumb.

What Tami did to her was wrong (taking her purse) but the msg was correct. You Do Not Talk Behind Someone’s Back! Kesha is a mature woman, but I think she blew that whole what race are you thing out of proportion. Honestly I would have asked her to what she was too, just so that I was clear. Kesha had absolutely no problem standing up for herself when Tami was not arround but could not do it to her face, so I do not feel completely bad for her, but Tami should have backed off when she realized Kesha was afraid. It’s no point in fighting with someone that is not going to fight back.

I’m not a fan of Keisha, but the whole Tahiti fiasco was a mess. The so called bullying incident wasn’t the only thing either even though that’s what everybody is focused on. They also but dead fish in Kenya’s room. Then the show down between Evelyn and Jennifer. The whole Tahiti trip was a mess all the way around. They should all be apologising to each other.

I love kesha, she’s amazing and beautiful and I wish she would come back however she has do what’s best for her and no one can hate on her because of that. I doubt I’d accept Tamis apology as well since it seemed to be staged. We may not see Kesha on basketball wives anymore but I’m sure we will eventually see her elsewhere. Good for you Kesha and I wish you the best of luck in all that you do.

I LOVE Basketball Wives & WILL keep tuning in. The women have all stated there wrongs and are planning to do better in there lives. This is reality tv people. REMEMBER THAT they make mistakes too.

  • Eartha

I wish her to go far, far away and to take her whining with her.

    • tam

Tamy is that you. Grow Up!!!!!

      • 1980babywipes

That does sound like something Tammy would say….:(

this situation made me STOP liking Tami, she use to be my favorite, till I saw how she treated Keisha, it was disgusting and un-called for and OVER THE TOP!!! She needs to give her a real apology and STOP with the my bad non-sense. Just own up to it and sincerely apologize. What’s even more disturbing was Shaunie, Evelyn, and Suzie did nothing to help or get her purse by they stood by and let Keisha get bullied! So sad ..

Please stop watching this show. This the only way it will go off the air if people stop watching and supporting these people.

  • CA Pullen

I don’t know. I will hear about it on this website IF she decides to return. I think she will be back. Since the money is good,it will surprise me if she doesn’t come back.

  • L-Boogie

Like Kesha and Royce those were the only two who I liked. The rest of those women need to grow up.

    • Mrsadkiah

Yes I’ve ALWAYS liked Royce. Until Kesha she was the only one who never did anything fake.

      • eestoomuch

hellooooooo the whole show is fake! are you serious?

  • Treacle234

    Cute hat

  • Not a Fan

I don’t blame you I would not come back either. I would sue Tami Roman for what she did to you. Shaunie,Evelyn should have told her to give you your purse. I hope the show is cancelled for good.

Go Kesha Go Kesha, you are the only one that is real, keep your head up! You Go Girl!!!!

  • DeVanneJuiceeJeniceChinn

how can you argue with the voice of reason? i commend her, she’s yet to publicly retaliate against Tami, Kenya, or Shaunie (Shaunie is THE WORST. no one ever stops Tami or Evelyn, but they WILL all assimilate and try to manipulate situations and people into being the offenders and themselves the defenders)
