Or, is it a desperate attempt to grasp at the few straws left? (Or a reason to have E! or Bravo show up with cameras?) For these couples, we assume it was the last two reasons.

    I don’t mean to sound cynical, but if you have to keep renewing your vows, who are you trying to convince? When you say them the first time, you agree “until death do us part”, not until the next time we renew them like a driver’s license.
