My co-worker and I often talk about how we bow at the feet of “Grey’s Anatomy” creator/writer Shonda Rhimes, so when I saw Rhimes’ fabulous “old” digs on The Real Estalker, to say I felt inspired is an understatement. Talk about McDreamy.Rhimes’ mega-mansion makes me want to write a hit television series. Of course, I first have to stop making excuses about not being able to find the time to get it done–but, can you really be mad at my inspiration? Rhimes is a three-time Emmy nominated producer and writer (“Private Practice” is her show as well) and a single mom to an adopted daughter. And just look how many at-home spas she can fit in her living room!

As such, I’ve decided that I’m going to will my way into such a home for myself. By the sheer audacity of my thoughts and my hard work as a writer, I believe that I can be living in a home as glamorous as Madame Rhimes’.

The idea of using your thoughts to bring energy into your life is nothing new, as the last few years have provided a boom of “think it and it will come” movements.

There has been “The Secret” and “The Circle”; Will Smith believes in mindset wisdom; I’ve seen plenty of sisters getting on the vision board bandwagon; Tyler Perry always says that he is living his dreams; prayer and faith are always in a style, as well as a host of other ways to get you to the process of creating the good you want to come into your life.

Conversely, some believe, as do I, that negative thoughts can bring bad energy and things into your life.

What do you choose to manifest in your life? Do you think my game plan of writing my way into a mansion some day can work, will work?
