Mike Tyson Disses T.O. Like He Has Room To Talk: ‘We Should Have No Sympathy For Him, He’s a Grown Man’

June 5th, 2012 - By Brande Victorian

I definitely have not an ounce of sympathy for T.O. so I agree with Mike Tyson’s assessment that he’s a grown foolish man. However considering Tyson is in the same camp of celebrities who squandered away millions being reckless he really has no room to talk—or justify his brokeness.

In an interview with 97.5 The Fanatic, host Mike Missanelli asked Tyson how much he knows about Terrell Owens and his money problems and he said this:

“I don’t know him. I know he can’t be broke because he’s a bad guy. He’s broke because he didn’t know what was going on. When people are going through hard times, it’s often called hitting a bottom. The day that Mike Tyson of all people can go on the radio and discuss how bad one has screwed up from a position of power, has to be the reddest of all red flags. It’s a commercial cliché but really T.O, is having the worst week…ever.”

It’s funny Tyson sort of cracked on himself in that last comment but then he went on to make it seem like he’s better than T.O. because he didn’t lose his money as quickly.

“Well, listen, I can only say about myself.  It took a good 18, 20 years for me to go broke, but he got broke pretty quick. It happened quick! We saw him, heard about him signing this contract, but from what you told me, he busted his whole bill. That can happen man when you take liberties for granted.”

You don’t even have to hear the audio to decipher just how unsympathetic Tyson is to T.O.’s plight and he was clear that he thinks the public should have the same reaction:

“We should have no sympathy for him, he’s a grown man. We should be jealous and pissed off he has so much godd***ed fun. Shoot! That’s what we should be jealous about. Listen, this is one thing. When you’re living that life you think you’re a big boy — and this is one thing I learned when I was rolling like a big boy — I said ‘don’t worry about it, I can handle it, I’m a big boy.’ Big boys have big responsibilities and big circumstances.”

Can’t argue with that. I imagine T.O. might be looking for a mentor right now, maybe Tyson can help him out. Homeboy is having more than the worst week ever, it’s more like the worst year—or two.

What do you think about Tyson’s comments? Is he keeping it real or being too harsh?

exactly. i agree with mike tyson. furthermore, it didn’t help that TO was running around always showing his a$$ anyway to the point no one wanted to work with him. you surround yourself with people who don’t have your best interests and then run your mouth and act a fool all the time, you reap what you sow. . .

It does not matter how long it takes for you to squander money. The point is that Mike Tyson he is just as bad.

I don’t know how it feels to have $10,000 all at once in my saving nor checking account. Am I’m jealous of T.O of course not…now he knows how the real world works. Dang, dude is having bad luck because last time I heard anything about him he was on Dr.Phil with his babymoms. Its all fun and games until the money stop rolling through.

It amuse me to see how celebrities cope to the real world once the matrix world spit them out. Lol, what movie was that when they was chanting “one of us, one of us” this always comes to mind when they become one of us.

It’s harsh but to some degree I agree with Tyson. How does one go through that much money that quick? I think Tyson can speak on it because he’s been through it and knows how bad it can get. To get to that tax bracket can be a blessing, at least in the sense of not having to worry about it when you need it. To treat it like it’s an open faucet, like it is never ending, is well stupid. I can’t feel too bad for TO but hope he learns and can bounce back.

how can the average person feel bad for someone who squanders millions? The average person is able to work at a career, get the house paid off, have the family and hopefully be able to send all the kids to college and then have enough money to play in retirement. The AVERAGE person isnt making millions upon millions of dollars a year and are living just fine. Hell now that i think about maybe i should get out of IT to become an accountant for athletes lol.
