The woman formerly known as Linda Resa may be a huge Kanye West fan but she’s got a little Chris Brown in her, and apparently some Beyonce and Lady Gaga too.
This chick was already known to be crazy when she legally changed her name to Kanye West last April and then tattooed his—-and now her—name across her butt cheeks as a sign of devotion for the rapper who probably wouldn’t even stop to sign an autograph if he ran into her on the street in NYC. (See photo here, we won’t make you look at it full size.) But now she’s proven she’s cray cray in other ways too because when an amp went out on the 28-year-old aspiring singer during a performance of the “Video Phone Remix,” she picked it up and threw it through the window of an Office Depot in Times Square.
“I’m normally very sweet. I have a little bit of an anger problem,” she told the NY Daily News. “I threw the speaker and it hit the window. You know I didn’t see the window there because there were cops right there.
“I was feeling cocky and powerful so when it happened I just flipped,” said the native South Side Chicago street performer.
Apparently Kanye had barely gotten past the opening line, “Shawty what yo name is,” before the amp went out and, well, you already know what happened next. “Video Phone” was a cover track for Kanye but she’s also come up with a few of her own remixes like, “I got 99 problems, but Kim K ain’t one.”
“I don’t like her,” she told the Daily News. “I’ve said a lot of mean things on Twitter about her.”
“There are a lot of girls who like him and I wanted to show that I’m more than them.”
Since she clearly likes Bey, a reporter asked the singer why she didn’t change her name to Beyonce or some other pop performer instead of a male rapper. Her response?
“Cause I don’t want to sleep with Beyonce.”
Ok ‘den. Back to those 99 problems though. Prosecutors originally charged Ms. West with a felony of criminal mischief in the third degree for her amp stint but they agreed to reduce the charge to a misdemeanor if she pleaded guilty and agreed to perform 100 hours of community service. I’m just wondering why nobody ordered a psych eval.
