Just like the chick who attempts to preserve her reputation before committing a questionable act by affirming her integrity, I don’t normally do this. Usually, I stay away from gossip stories and celebrities news because those things are irrelevant to me.
However, this Chris Chambers story was way too strong and ridiculous to ignore. The lesson contained within it is actually more significant than the story, but lets begin with the story for those completely unaware.
NFL player and current member of the Kansas City Chiefs, Chris Chambers, recently married the woman he claimed was stalking and aggressively harassing his family.
Playboy Chris was caught cheating by his ex-wife whom he had been married to for three years and in a relationship with for eleven years. Supposedly, he had ended the affair with Stacey Bernice Saunders after being caught but shortly thereafter the situation went left.
According to the story, ol’ girl wasted no time in making Chris and his family’s lives a living hell. As with every typical stalker story, Chris and his ex-wife first endured the daily, 24 hour onslaught of emails, text messages, and phone calls from Stacey. Then she graduated to threatening and harassing the former Mrs. Chamber’s family which included her mother and sister.
It is widely believed that Stacey is responsible for getting Chris released from the San Diego Chargers after she incessantly called the Chargers’ practice facility making derogatory comments about playboy. Only then did he initiate a request for a permanent restraining order against Stacey. Equally important, is the always prevalent, “I’m pregnant” angle many stalkers use.
Stacey not only claimed that she was pregnant, but that she carried and birthed Chris’s child. She said that the child died at two months old but a private investigator found no records of a birth or death certificate for the alleged child. In November of 2009, Stacey was finally hit with eleven misdemeanor counts for stalking and harassing Chris, his wife, and her family. Nevertheless, Chris and his ex-wife eventually divorced. Three days after the divorce has been finalized, playboy and Stacey get married in Vegas.
