Final Cut! Celebs We Haven’t Seen Since The Ax Came Down!

In light of Rocsi, Terrence J, Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall recently being thrown in front of the BET firing squad, I’d like to remind them of something: keep your head in the game! It takes no time to become forgettable and despite what you might think, just about everyone is replaceable in Hollywood.  They seem to all have different opportunities ahead of them but just in case they don’t, I’d like to remind them of a few people we’ve seen little to nothing from since they were fired from their show or once the show was canceled. (Rocsi, girl you are really going to need to step it up.)

Erika Alexander was in the acclaimed indie film La Mission a couple years ago as Benjamin Bratt’s love interest. Like a lot of actors on this list, she has done guest spots on TV and roles in small-scale movies in recent years, as you can see on their IMDb pages.

  • Dee

Isaiah Washington is an idiot, but I do miss me some Preston Burke on Grey’s. What a wasted talent in my opinion.

    • sam66

The waste is you and other are still watching that dump behind show.

  • CriticXtreme

The secret word is that she was “too-dark” for the Fresh Prince. Like the first girl who played Claire on My Wife and Kids and you saw they got rid of here. TV and Hollyweird are nothing but racist. White-tee is represented all over TV in various forms but for black people, they’re represented as stereotypes and w****s on Basketball Wives.

    • jmk623

Well, I would have to say that the first actress that played Claire on My Wife and Kids was just a horrible actor to begin with. I don’t really believe that it was much of a loss when she left, and I actually think that the show got better as a result. I feel that it was more at the fault of her talent, rather than her skin tone. But, in referring to her skin tone, I honestly did feel that she was too dark to match the family. I’m not saying that she wasn’t a beautiful young girl, but the family chemistry just wasn’t there.

      • sam66

Well here replament wasn’t much better in the acting catagory. Don’t have to act very hard to play stupid. The first claire is now on Cedric the Entertainer new sitcom soul Man.

  • sexxy

I have to agreed with the rocci comment she has to do more step up,she was very boring on 106.

  • Gray4791

There are so many that hasn’t been mentioned.

  • tee tee

    This was a good list.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_JAI4SRENU2A5WKRTELXXYJPDSI Kayla

Wasn’t Isiah Washington on Single ladies? I know it’s not much. But it’s something.

  • fitnessforlife

Isaiah and that swexy chin dimple *faints*

  • Kierah

With the exception of Rachel True and Isaiah Washington, most of these people didn’t have much of a career before their signature roles. It only makes sense that they would go back into obscurity.

  • imjustsayn

I LOVED ISAIAH WASHINGTON as DR. PRESTON BURKE on Greys Anatomy it was an absolute shame Chandra Rimes couldn’t keep him on the show after that whole f-word incident and to make matters worse the so called actor T.R. Knight is not even on the show anymore what an a**! After he got Isaiah fired he left the show but truthfully I would love to see Isaiah Washington vindicated and make a come back to tv in a successful series or the big screen, he did not deserve to get kicked off Greys Anatomy and the show suffered a great loss when there was no more Preston Burke! I would also love to see JANET HUBERT A.K.A ORIGINAL BLACK AUNT VIVE FROM FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR! This show too suffered a great loss when they replace Janet with Daphane who I’m sorry to say was no match for Janet Hubert and this show was not the same. I would love to see her back on tv as well in a  successful tv series!

Yes Lawd! Daphne Maxwell Reed was STALE as Aunt Viv.

    • sam66

TR didn’t leave he was written out of the show. He couldn’t act anyway. He lied because the whole incident had nothing to do with him. Isiah and Patrick had and argument and the F word was mentioned. Katherine Heigl heard about it and ran to TR who made the complaint. It’s funny both of the people who started the mess have been written out of the show. Chandra caved when she let Isaiah go. The Gay community actually didn’t ask her to fire him . so who did? Hands down he’s the best actor the show had. Now the show is just straight up stupid.

  • Is It 5:00 Yet?

I was so upset when they canceled Half and Half because I wanted to know who Mona chose. Was it Chad or Lorenzo? I wanted to know!

    • Jessjanet32

You mean Chase? Yeah, I wanted to know that too…I hate when we’re left hanging like that. Same thing happened with Moesha.

  • A.J.

Not to just harp on colorism, but has anyone else noticed that most of the actors featured here are darker-skinned?  There’s definitely a bias in Hollywood.

    • artstone

Is it a ‘bias’ – or are they held to the same standard?
Now, there’s a dilemma for you.

  • Embee_

Rachel True is actually starring in a play called Sugar Mommas that comes on today on GMC.

    • bigdawgman

Maaaan, that play is BAAAAAAADDDDD!!!  There was way too much talent on that show for it to be that bad.  Rachel and Vanessa A. Williams was looking GOOOOOD though.  But seriously, don’t even bother watching it.  It was just that bad.

  • FromUR2UB

I wonder how that blackballing works.  Do they intimidate people, so that they won’t hire a person?  In most circumstances, you usually don’t get 100% participation or agreement in ousting someone, unless people fear persecution.  Interesting.

    • Dollkennedy

No one wanted to work with Isaiah, because he was difficult, outspoken, and black. If he was more laid back and less controversial he would have a career. If he were difficult, outspoken, and white it would be o.k.

  • Mia

I loved Half and Half and was sick when it was cancelled. I couldn’t understand why people fought to bring back that poorly written ratchet show The GAME, but forgot about Half and Half.

    • Mrsadkiah

The Game was wonderfully written and not ratchet at all when it was on the CW. That’s why people asked to have it back. BET made it a poorly written ratchet show. Half and Half was a good show but as far as I know didn’t really have a huge fan base.

    • Dollkennedy

I don’t agree about Half and Half, but agree The Game is ratchet.

      • Treacle123

There wasn’t a strong social media presence when Half & half got cancelled.

ALEXANDER AKA MAXINE SHAW WAS THE BEST GOOD THING THERE ARE REPEATS. ALEXANDER IS ALSO A DANCER I BELIEVE…WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER IN SOMETHING LONG LASTING..

  • SorryIsaiah

Rachel True is probably enjoying her time relaxing, I’m pretty sure she has enough dough to do so.  She was on the Drew Carey show as a regular for a while too. On a side note, I ran into the woman who played her mom (Telma Hopkins) at a Detroit airport right after news of the show being cancelled and she said that everyone was in high spirits. I still feed bad about that whole Isaiah Washington thing, there are huge celebrities that have done much worst than angry name-calling, and they are still flying high. Blacklisted for calling someone out of their name? If Chris Brown can be forgiven, surely this man can.

    • Tiger_doggy

Exactly! Look at Charlie Sheen..he talked about CBS and his boss, went crazy for a minute and was in the news almost more than Obama..then he gets a settlement from CBS and a piece of the reruns of “Two and a Half Men” and now he’s about to have a new show on tv…now he got a real 2nd chance..

      • Cat88L3

Charlie Sheen had about 8 chances and counting.  Sheen has a documented criminal history with domestic violence over the past 20 years with various women.  Let alone the repeat offenses with drug abuse.  This guy is a mess and for some reason the public constantly forgives him.

      • Dollkennedy

He is white that is why he can do that. It is unfair, but when you are black you have to watch what you do.

        • ldean50

Not true. What about Michael Richards? There is such a thing as racism; just make sure you point it out when it’s real and appropriate; otherwise, you negate it when it really does happen.

        • Whatever

Kinda like O.J. Simpson, huh? Some people can just never get a fair shake…

        • artstone

          W-a-a-ah, w-a-a-a-ah…
that’s what you guys do the best.
I’m sick of it – you got a president in the White House, but YOU can’t work.
          Black is beautiful, all right.

          • MTNimrod

            Well…..HALF a president, anyway.

      • Megamad

         Lets not forget that he shot at a woman;
Also, Rothelessburger raped two women-yet he’s still playing football and no one saying  ANYTHING negative about him. Have a Great Day!

    • Miss Anonymous

If R. Kelly can, anyone can.

    • Mia

Sorry, but Isaiah is a lunatic and deserved what he got. The producer gave him a second chance and he wouldn’t stop bringnig it up. When he made that comment at the award show, he made a complete fool out of himself and had to go.

      • NSimonfan

I agree.  The incident on the set was swept under the rug, but he had to bring up the incident on the awards show.  Stupid move.

    • Forreal

If charlie sheen has been forgiven for his mess so can isaiah.

      • Deja

True, but Isiah insulted “the gays”.  Don’t sleep; they have money and they use it.

  • Lola

Ericka Alexander’s husband is a very successful screenwriter, so if she never wanted to act again, she doesn’t have to.

    • awet

I agree, there are so many aspects to the entertainment industry so just because you don’t see someone on-screen doesn’t mean they’re not writing, directing, producing, costume designing etc. Furthermore Erika Alexander  and Charnele Brown are stunning!

      • Invisiblegirl777

What about Rachel True?  She is Stunning, fresh and young at 45.

        • @msredbonebrite

WOW!! I did NOT know that Rachel  True was 45!! She looks awesome!

  • IllyPhilly

Some of these folks besides Isiah Washington, don’t seem like attention slores. Acting is a job and maybe they just decided to quit.

  • Miss Anonymous

Hmm well what if they wanted to live a normal non fame life? Noo that cant be possible, silly me.

    • Just saying!!

Thank you! That’s exactly what I was thinking!! Hollywood is a nasty business that makes people go crazy and can destroy your life. Not everyone wants that lifestyle. There are a lot of benefits to being “normal” that famous Hollywood people simply don’t have so why automatically assume that they are under the radar for reasons beyond their control??
