Dang BET! Rocsi and Terrence J Are Leaving 106 & Park Too?!

Just a day after we found out Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall are leaving “The Game,” word is “106 & Park” hosts Rocsi and Terrence J are the next duo to get the boot.

I don’t know when was the last time I watched “106″ and I never really got into Rocsi and Terrence but they did have a successful seven-year run after winning the network’s New Faces Contest in 2005. According to AllHip-Hop.com, there are only three months left on each hosts’ contract so when that runs out so will their time on BET. The network reportedly wants to take the channel in a new direction by reinventing and changing its current programs and bringing new shows into the mix, which we’ve heard a little bit about already.

I don’t think people will be nearly as sad to see Rocsi and Terrence go as they were when Free and AJ left but BET is taking a bit of a gamble getting rid of all the main faces of its network. Hopefully they know what they’re doing. Meanwhile we’re sure we can catch Terrence J in more movies, and Rocsi will reportedly be kicking off her acting career too with a big move to LA.

What do you think about Rocsi and Terrence J leaving? Is it a good move?

bout time.  they’re getting a lil old to be hosting a kiddie show

    I don’t watch this, so I don’t care .

There aren’t any interesting music artist anymore for grown people to tune into them. I loved A.J and Free. I made sure I recorded the show. It’s never been the same since. I could never get into Terrence and Rocsi but he grew on me little bit when I did watch(which was only when I read that someone I was a fan of was going to be on there. Most of the time it was actors that caused me to tune in.) The music isn’t good, and I don’t mind that it’s going away.

I stopped watching after Aj and Free left.  I understand that they want to take the channel in a new direction by reinventing and changing its current programs and bringing new shows into the mix, but I hope they are better than Let’s Stay Together!!! I’m sorry but that show is corny as hell.

Not surprised, and definitely not as devastating as when AJ and Free left. Terrance has outgrown BET (I really enjoyed him in Think Like a Man) and although im not a fan of Rocsi, im sure she’ll be fine as well.

And I also wasn’t a fan of the direction the show took. It was great in the earlier days but now it seems to be a celebration of ignorance. I don’t want to say scrap it….all im saying is if the next hosts are on the mental levels of Nicki Minaj and Big Sean, we have a problem that needs to be addressed.

I’m surprised 106 and Park is even still on the air *shrug*

Real talk–last time I watched 106 was when I was in high school, on the creamy crack, and Ja Rule was still lukewarm. Yeah. I mean, the young girls in my life watch it religiously when they stay over, so yeah it’s def for the kids with the short attention spans. Must not be working very well, though….hmm.

When did Pooch Hall confirm that he was also leaving the show??

I do think that they are ready to work on other aspects of their careers!! So good luck to them! I don’t feel the same way reading the news of them leaving, as I did when Free and A.J. left but I’m also 8 years older!

So… how long were Free and AJ on the show?

  • Truth

BET will be showing “white shows” soon just as they did with UPN, that carried all the interesting “black” shows….foulness

Long time coming. I’m surprise they lasted this long.. However they brought their own unique flare.. Good luck to them both!!

I haven’t watched 106 in ages, so I won’t be hurt. I’m not a fan of this show or much of BET programming for that matter. I think the show has done a disservice to the youth by supporting and promoting the raunchy, violence and drug filled, hypersexual music of this era. While I do understand that this music is popular and lucrative, I feel that at some point we have to put the power of the almighty dollar on the backburner and do what is right for our youth via decent, more appropriate television programming.

Won’t miss them and never will miss them.  They are useless and incompetent.  Hope there are better and talented hosts who will rule 106 and Park.

I stopped watching after AJ and Free. After they left the show really changed. They stop playing whole videos and mostly play part of a song. And it’s more about talking then about music. Plus the music they play are wack. Like the comment before me it’s more targeted to the younger group, I guess I got too old lol

I don’t really watch because of the ignorant rappers videos and mainl because it is for the younger kids. Also i think this time they should have brown skinned or dark skinned hosts, because its been the same types of light skin, light brown people hosting the show, it would be something different then the usual, I am especially talking about the women hosts.
