    Didn’t read the article but from the pic of Miss Ross and MJ I will say that…Diana was never really MJ’s mentor, Berry Gordy and Motown just used her name and all of the star power it held back then to present or “sell” the Jackson 5 to America.

    I also personally believe that later on in life, MJ idolized and tried to emulate Diana in a lot of ways, but I would never use the words “mentor” or “protegee” when referring to the two of them.
