Forget about your neutrals or the classic smoky eye you’ve been wearing as your usual standby look.

The hot makeup trend for spring and summer is the bright eye – eye makeup that is colorful and bold. Blues, purples and greens are blooming on eyelids everywhere, creating a perfect complement for the colorful tones showing up in clothes.

But this is not the ’70s or the ’80s so you have to be cautious when rocking this new style. Here are some tips on how to make this look work…

    There is a 120pc palette by Coastal Scents (or by anybody really if you buy it on ebay there aren’t really name brands) that is really popular. As a dark skinned woman I have to say the color is really amazing and shows up exactly the way it looks in the palette. Just invest in a lid primer and it will be the best $20 (or less) you ever spend. If you can’t afford to be a MAC junkie it is a great alternative.

    I’ve tried this maybelline color tattoo and I can tell you it’s not made for black or caramel women! The color comes off as more silver znd scaly because it’s made for white skin. Also I’m not sure why you’re recommending black women must run to cvs for makeup when the Lancôme and MAC shadows show up as the real color on black skin without looking faded.
